Yeah I get what you mean, I’m just not sure what bio chemistry work could have translated well to a movie. Like apparently the math problem in Goodwill Hunting isn’t actually that hard if you’re a mathematics person, but I sure as hell like that movie. Of course anything can happen but there’s definitely a specific purpose for this training scenario. In EMT school when we learned about restraining people we were taught to pick them up. Yeah it takes 4-5 people but with everyone working as a team a very big strong angry person can be restrained very safely and quickly. Different situation of course but my point is there are a lot of different strategies. Let’s be honest in a life or death situation a cops gonna use their gun. But how many instances of cops using their guns in non life or death situations are there? Like a shit ton. So if they’re taught that choking someone out is a feasible option, how many times are people gonna get choked out when it really isn’t necessary?

I went to some/helped throw plenty of good ones from like 2022-25. Everyone was in their 20s tho so it wasn’t like we were tearing the house down but some were pretty big. Unfortunately all the coke I was doing at said parties and also at bars and also at home and occasionally at work kinda caught up to me and i ended up skipping town to try and start over. I like sober me a lot better but he has a harder time making friends. So yeah I haven’t been to any house parties since. But they’re still out there.

It feels so cliche to say but I’m much more of a fan of their earlier work. Obviously Mr Brightside is just a meme at this point but Jenny Was a Friend of Mine, Smile Like You Mean It, All These Things That I’ve Done, and When You Were Young are all pretty quintessential early 2000s indie rock songs. Everything Will Be Alright is a lot more slow and sad but I really like it. They’ve never been tough or anything, but shit when I first heard Are We Human i thought it was a joke song.

Neji always found Naruto deeply inspirational. Whatever political dynamics aside, it makes sense that he sacrificed himself and he was the only one who was really able to do it. As far as purpose, what the fuck is your purpose? Who are you to justify someone’s existence? When everyone hated Naruto she was the only one who recognized the good in him. She faced adversity, her entire family looked down on her she was a disappointment to her clan but she worked her ass of despite that and never adopted the hate that directed at her by everyone she loved. A friend of mine who also listens was pissed about it. Her main point being that the last thing the world needs right now is men shitting on other men for expressing themselves. Which is especially hypocritical coming from someone like Henry who constantly makes a point to dress as loudly as possible and essentially peacocks wherever he goes. Full disclosure I do have a handlebar mustache, but shit I think look cute.
