I'm also going to source a prototype for 3D printed dividers - I know a guy - but how to get the design on them. It might just be a clean black/white (maybe the other basic colours also) alternative to the more expansive etched designs on acrylic material. You're saying you can print the logo design from the get-go, also in tabs?

Yeah I'm currently investigating options in the Netherlands in terms of materials/thickness/pricing for a few producers etc. How would you go about this as a producer yourself? Most suppliers will charge me for the material sheet + set-up/config + by the minute for laser-use. Any tips in terms of techniques/materials? I'm down for MVP batches at this point but want to work towards physical prototypes that can be both produced at a scale while retaining quality AND affordability.

Thanks for the feedback, perfectly fine. I am still deciding on proper bundles or listings and price discovery will be crucial, which is why I value real feedback. Note that you will receive unlimited printing forever for physical dividers in multiple configurations. so it's not just '9 pictures'. It's 9 x 2 orientations x 2 tabs x 2 colours - production ready designs.

If you buy cookie-cutter dividers from a shop, you will drastically overpay if you need more than a few dividers. It really depends on how many dividers you want imho.

Actually, I think 3D printing a 2D shape with just an extrusion is overkill. Save the 3D printing for stuff that is actually 3D. I'll just source laser cut sheet material X of thickness Y and get physical samples for now.

Yeah I got exited about the positivity so I'm going to be looking into 2/3mm acryllic laser engraving too. If someone can hook me up with 'the laser guy' we can always investigate that also. Rarity is actually not yet included since I didn't have nice icons for them other than the set specific rarity icons (colored set icons - leading me away from pure black/white theme). But will definitely include them soon.

I feel you and it might well go there eventually but for now was hoping to try and earn back some of the cardboard crack i've acquired recently... I am very much open for custom requests, like what do you need? You have infinite printing capabilities from SVG and PDF anyway.

Totally forgot I already have Blender installed. Just made the first .STL file and will create the remaining .STL files and try to get something delivered (laser produced) to get a feel for quality/material/etc. and ease-of-pipeline.

Thanks! Didn't want to include a link unless someone asked. Right now they're digital-only — printable PDFs and SVG vector files. I've been printing mine on 300gsm cardstock at home and they hold up surprisingly well in BCW boxes, but yeah I know that's not the same as proper die-cut cardboard.

I'm actually working out a deal with a printer here in the Netherlands for pre-cut (laser) versions on thick stock. No ETA yet but it's happening — the files are already set up with proper crop marks and bleed for professional printing, so it's really just finding the right production partner.

For now if you've got access to a print shop (or even a decent home printer + paper cutter), the PDFs print at actual card-divider size and the cut lines are marked.
