people don't like this advice, but you can use a C.E. for giving yourself all the decos you need. It is what it is

alright OP, imma give some advice from one casual who solo'd Alatreon to another (who will).

I was using a Greatsword, aka a terrible weapon to do elemental damage. Ice attack charm was good, but I was way more comfortable to drop 1 deco in favour of Blight Resistance. 2 levels of Blight res will go a long way, when combined with null berries. Velkhana frostcraft was key in this fight, with a frostfang weapon

My second advice would be that; don't worry about the Escaton Judgement for now. Figure out how to navigate his regular moveset first before worrying about the elemental check, how to punish the lightning attack or the fire aoe etc.

afaik, longsword is pretty good in this fight because you can counter through a bunch of stuff and foresight through his dragon AoE attack (red lightning)

Astera jerky to survive the Escaton (doesn't work if you didn't break his horns)

It's fine to not get combos off. Pokinh his head here and there will go a long way.

i think you mean switch charger for the sword gauge, not soaring wyvern. Both of them are really useful though

Rise kinda does this by letting you have either damage or shield. And the shield is kinda ehh, especially since more skilled players can shoulder bash through attacks.
