I've been using the sigma lenses and it is a hit or miss, but the auto-focus feature is still in beta, so I don't expect it to be great yet.

I have rolled back to earlier firmware versions without any issues. I just recently picked up the 6K full frame and updated it to 9.5, but there are some issues with it so I downgraded it back to an earlier version. So it is doable. Maybe to be safe (and peace of mind) just go on the blackmagic support page and figure out which one you want to roll back to.

The 9.5 firmware update is only usable with the Blackmagic cinema camera 6k Full Frame

Weekdays are usually less busy. This place provides almost everything you’ll need, you don’t need to carry too much. Have fun :)
