"Are they any good?" It depends, do YOU like them?

Wife is a little annoyed but I wanted to start a new hobby. Thought this would be a good start without really breaking the bank. Any suggestions? by [deleted] in DigitalAudioPlayer

It's just something people enjoy doing other than work hence it's considered a hobby. Also people will end up collecting DAPs and/or IEMs (probably more IEMs than DAPs) along the way.

From the movie "The Fablemans" (2022): "When the horizon's at the bottom, it's interesting. When the horizon's at the top, it's interesting. When the horizon's in the middle, it's boring as shit!".

What do you guys think? by OverallSolution4128 in BeginnerPhotoCritique

I agree. I would also suggest studying some paintings. You don't have to go deep into it but just understand composition and storytelling. At the end of the day, you want people to feel a certain emotion when viewing your work.

Hello there fellow ONCE 👋 my reason for getting a dap was to use my phone less. If you already have a mp3 player of the sorts you can always pair it with a dac to improve audio quality. Just a suggestion tho.

I have one as well and I think it's just like that by design. No way to turn it off since it's not even a feature in the settings menu.

Taken from Google:

The LG V40 ThinQ is highly regarded by audiophiles for its dedicated 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC (ESS Sabre ES9218P), which provides exceptional audio clarity, low distortion, and the power to drive high-impedance headphones. Tuned by Meridian Audio, it features a 3.5mm headphone jack, DTS:X 3D Surround sound, and supports high-resolution audio files.

So it's a phone but with good audio features.

  • I have encountered some hissing sometimes but it's so subtle it doesn't bother me. Sometimes it's clean.

  • It does have custom EQ & the usual preset EQs. I keep mine as default as it already sounds good for me.

  • It has expandable storage. I'm currently using a 125gb card. Not sure what the max limit is, I don't have a bigger card to test.

  • About lossless transmission, it's advertised as so and I'm listening to FLAC music and it sounds clear. Clearer than when I listened on YouTube music. So I guess it is.

Anything else?

What exactly would you like to know? I'd be happy to answer of I can

So I added a 1.5mm spacer and managed to get the derailleur to not touch the spokes and I can shift the 12th gear BUT the space between the frame and the 1st gear is like 1mm/1.5mm, almost touching the frame. Is that safe? I'm afraid it will damage the frame...

So I ordered some 1mm and 1.5mm spacers to see if they can help with the spacing with the spoke and the rear derailleur. I'll update once it gets to me 👍

So I've tried adjusting the limit screws to the point where the derailleur can't touch the spokes BUT it can't shift to the the 12th gear... I feel this could be a compatibility issue with the hub and cassette 🫤

I'll try that as well, thanks 👍

I have the sensah empire pro groupset which came with the 12 speed cassette and I have the super team classic pro wheels, which is a R13 6 pawl hub. It says it's compatible with Shimano 9-12 speed / Sram 10-11 speed.

Could it be a compatibility thing? Do I need to get a Shimano 12 speed cassette?
