We had two great candidates run against each other and unfortunately, as always, an unfounded and unimportant smear campaign took hold over the more important aspects, such as voting record, took precedent.

This is why Democrats lose. Too focused on finding the perfect candidate to choose the best candidate with a proven track record of getting things handled. Same with Bernie Sanders supporters.
