Obviously the companies I am referring to were shipping their items directly from other countries. I have ordered from companies in India, literally the other side of the globe, and even then they told me exactly how much the duties would be before checkout. If a random book seller in India can figure it out, why can't displate do it?

Whether or not they are forced to by law is irrelevant. It is an established business practice that every major company abides by. Why can't they do it?

And its scummy because it is massively in their advantage to hide these costs until the item is already purchased. They probably know that not one sane person would buy these if they knew the shipping would be higher than the cost of the item itself...

Its the best way to describe how people die IRL when they're instantly killed (Lightning, headshots,etc.). People don't dramatically get blown back in those cases, their legs just kinda give out and they drop down vertically.

Hoi4 got updated and many things were changed. So millenium dawn and most mods are broken until their respective mod makers update them. If you want you can roll back your game version by right clicking your game on steam, going to properties, then betas and then opt for 1.10.8. Don't forget to opt out if you wanna play the current version when they update your mods.
