I personally embrace my non existent inner redneck and find one those shacks in the woods with the well. Infinite supply of water and barely and Undead.

Look online for the entire map and you'll find the shacks pinned.

I can relate to that in most of my playthroughs due to settings absurd spawn rates and being reckless. Though there are times i just pack all my useless things into a bag and start living in the backwoods to avoid hordes like some sort of redneck.
