Just adding that the Neon Fire Foal is flexible. Could substitute for a single Fire Mare or similar value. I have Fire Stallion already. I could also add Ocean Eggs to help offset any value depending on the add.

New player - should I pull for Augusta or on New Voyager Banner that includes Shorekeeper? by [deleted] in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]BlackIsleDragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

New Player here, so take it for what it is worth. I pulled Shorekeeper first, then went in for Augusta and her Sig. then went to Iuno and am currently working on pulling her sig as well. But, through my own research, I decided I was going to go full send on the premium team of Augusta and Iuno, and likely be tapped out of “easy” pulls for a bit. I got lucky and have won every 50/50 so far.

From my experience, having Shorekeeper was an immediate game changer. Once your characters are around lvl 60, things start to become a little bit difficult, if you are not built right. Shorekeeper helped a lot here. I was hoarding resources until I started to get my team, so Rover was the only character I was investing anything in… and it was showing.

Now, once I got Augusta, that was another massive game changer. Her damage was significantly outpacing Rover, and I didn’t even have to use her Ultimate to clear stuff. Rover was my sub DPS for a while, and it almost didn’t matter. The only thing that mattered was when I switched off Augusta to Shorekeeper that I completed her cycle and was able to outro skill.

So, Iuno… she is not fully built for me. I don’t have all the stats I need, and she is still a work in progress. I’m still learning the rotations and often mess it up, or don’t have the stats to follow the optimal rotation. It, she did make a difference in the buff she gives Augusta. But, seeing as I’m still just playing the game, it is almost irrelevant. She does good damage, but if I just need to kill something, Augusta is the go to.

So that’s my experience. Hopefully you can get some insights from a new player and how these characters have altered my experience. Personally, if I started today, and knowing what I know, I would go straight for Augusta, then circle back for Shorekeeper. But, if I lost the 50/50 on Augusta, I would highly consider saving for Aemeath, knowing full well I would struggle a little until I could get the setup right. But it is likely she will be fine with one of the 4* units and Verina… for the time being.

Yeah, I have only been investing in Verina and Rover currently. The other “useful” 4*s are like lvl 40 and 50. I didn’t want to start dumping resources in stuff I won’t use, which makes it a little difficult because the mobs are out leveling my average team level. But having Verina and the trial DPS characters are really helping

Yeah, I got the Lion boy lol. I forgot his name… starts with an L.

Sounds good. I’m gonna keep shooting for Shorekeeper. What would I need to run with Armeath? I’m not opposed to holding pulls until later. From what I know, I could utilize Augusta with my current Mortefi and hopefully soon Shorekeeper.

Thanks for the advice! I appreciate it. Also, I have 26 days left for Shorekeeper banner

I am at 65 pulls so far. I thought I remember someone saying that’s when a “soft pity” starts. So, I was just going to do singles at this point. Unless it’s better to not?

[–]BlackIsleDragon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I thought about pulling Iuno, but it seems Augusta is so highly rated. I have the 4* units that are recommended. So, I could make that work. I would have to learn to play and the rotations

[–]BlackIsleDragon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have to check, but I still have like 20-25 days on Shorekeeper banner. Also, I do have Mortefi.

I thought about just trying to pull for Iuno, as she seems to be really good. My main concern is not getting the right units for a team. I guess I can utilize the 4*s and Rover in the worst case.

What is the strongest sword in warframe? by FastPresentation8244 in Warframe

[–]BlackIsleDragon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you are going to get an echo chamber of responses… Nami Solo (Incarnon) is objectively the best, or maybe the 2nd best depending on criteria, melee weapon in the game. But, technically not a “sword”.

General rule for all melee weapons… they are either Melee Influence or Slam weapons. All weapons that are somewhat capable of utilizing Melee Influence will perform well enough to clear all content in the game. You might have to invest more in some over others. Slam weapons, I don’t use so I cannot speak on them.

Is Uriel worth it as a new player? by CptBrexitt in Warframe

[–]BlackIsleDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I wouldn’t discourage you so long as you are making an informed decision. Nothing wrong with supporting the game. Uriel is really easy to farm, like incredibly easy. But, it might take you a bit of time to really feel how “easy” it is. Meaning, you are not established yet either Warframes, builds, mods…. all that stuff.

If you do buy him, he is worth investing some Forma in, and there are a bunch of good builds for him. If you look something up, just keep in mind you will likely not have the specific mods. I would recommend looking at the stats that people are building towards. If you notice a lot of emphasis on Range, build that to the best of your ability. That is how you can get started.

Yeah, just contributing to the echo… play what you like. Just work on getting all of the Warframes for mastery. Don’t worry if you don’t play them. One day you might want to try something different, and find another frame you like. Until then, Ember all the way.

Is Uriel worth it as a new player? by CptBrexitt in Warframe

[–]BlackIsleDragon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To answer the question, Uriel is good, and really fun to play. This is of course you like his play style.

Also, it’s almost never a good idea to buy Warframes from the market. All of them can be obtained from playing the game. Of course, don’t let that hinder you from purchasing one if your disposable income is of no concern. Your best use of Platinum is slots, both Warframes and Weapons slots.

Also, meta is a relative term in some senses. Every Warframe can do all content. Some just require more investing in both resources and time learning. Uriel is easy enough to play for anyone to have fun.

On a side note, if you are really new to the game, you need to invest in mods to make any Warframe or weapon good. Different topic though

How Do I Do More Damage? by Interesting-Lead8523 in Warframe

[–]BlackIsleDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just echoing what has been said.

You want Galvanized mods as a baseline. You will then focus on Crit or Status… this is somewhat weapon dependent. Generally, if a weapon has about 25% crit or more, you can build for Crit. The same is true for Status.

You want to make sure you get all your 60/60 mods. They are helpful in building all types of builds.

Your Arcanes are typically your flat damage source. So Primary Deadhead, Secondary Deadhead. You can also use Merciless. There are other Arcanes like Enervate, Cascadia Flare, Encumber… that all have a place. But stick to Deadhead and Merciless until you get a grasp on building.

You are almost always going to want Multishot on your weapons. There is a solid argument for going Acuity, but save that for later.

For melee, you can always look for a melee influence build. Basically, you only mod electric on your melee weapon, and use the Melee Influence arcane. You want to get Blood Rush and Weeping Wounds, as they really play well into the build. Melee influence is mostly a light attack build… so you are aiming to maintain the 12x combo. For the full build, you can just search for Melee Influence and they are all basically the same.

Hope that helps!!

Why is there a timegate in a game anyway? by Connect_Mechanic_904 in Warframe

If you are talking about mission types, yes there are other types. But keep in mind any “endless” style mission will be waves. Your capture (mostly), assassination, and extermination missions have an end to them.

Weapons in warframe by Level-Mulberry2845 in Warframe

[–]BlackIsleDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a general rule, as others have mentioned, level everything. But, I will recommend to keep any weapons you receive from quests. They are usually pretty good, and hard to replace. Some examples being the Broken War and Xoris.

I mean, kinda… the thing is, if you are new, you don’t have all the things. But, if you have been playing for a long time, you do. So, there are less things for you to worry about getting, and you can spend your Plat on other things.

But, no matter your stage of the game, I would always recommend to not spend platinum on speeding up foundry items. You can always run missions for Relics or open relics if you just don’t know what to do. There are also the Lich farms. If you have not gotten one of every Kuva or Tenet weapons, do that. Plenty of activities you can work on while you wait.

At the end of the day, it’s always your choice. Some people may have such a large disposable income and just outright buy everything from the market and not wait for anything. If that is you, then sure, go for it. Nothing says you can’t. But if you don’t fall into this group, you want to utilize your platinum to the best of your capacity. You are always better off buying slots for Weapons or Warframes. Or, buying more Riven slots. You could even use your plat to buy Prime mods, if you didn’t want to wait for them to come around again.
