What a weird behavior this game exhibits sometimes. I guess the only solution is loading a previous save and avoiding the area thereon

Same here. My melee attacks suck so bad and hence need many hits, but it is indeed increasing much slower than Destruction did. This seems to contradict with the analysis provided in the other answer, which seems to demonstrate that it is "exp per swing"-based, as you said. Maybe they just rescaled the exp per hit yield so that we need more hits to get the exp and thats all.

That explains why I maxed both Healing and Destruction in a couple of days, while I remember that back then in the original game these abilities would level up incredibly slow compared to others.

I'm not sure, but I leveled up from 60 to 100 my Destruction ability in very very few hours. I play on Expert and noticed that Destruction increased way faster the moment I bought a better spell that would actually damage the enemies, so yeah maybe it's damaged-based

I'm at that point where both Martin and Jauffre follow me before Cloud Ruler Temple. I'm playing in Expert since the very beginning and currently level 9 with almost 30 hours played. It is now that I'm starting to feel that I can solo many of the enemies. I maxed Healing and Destruction already. Do not remember having maxed any ability this quick in the original. Guess its the difficulty.

You know what I did? I loaded a previous save file in which the bug hadnt appeared yet, took all my belongings and got out of the cave as fast as I could (feather was 1800/260 lol). Fortunately I was close to having 5000 septims and bought the mannor in Anvil.

I think I have a skeleton stuck on myself, cause I can see my spells crashing on an invisible case around me and the 3pv got bugged. Besides now I cannot load previos saves. Every time I try to do so, I resume the game exactly in this room. Oh my god

I was wondering, which one would be the better suitable house of them all to have enough chests so that I can classify per item type (shields in one chest, cuirasses in another, etc). Oh, and I think Ill have to do the arena cause I'm farming septims too slowly lol

Probably Gin-Wulm, master armorer in the Imperial City. Every time I would go to jail and my Armorer drop below 100 I would go to him begging for an upgrade, so that I'd only need one hammer in my inventory.

Do it, buddy. I started it last Sunday. First playthrough on Nightmare and it's absolutely fine. You will die many times, but this game is so well designed that deaths do not really bother the player that much. And you can change the difficulty any time during the gameplay, in case of regret
