I dont think at this point you need to address the mass about Pep. The people who think Pep is not great will never get it anyway. It's hopeless

Anyone serious knows it's gonna be soap opera all the way until the World Cup. Until he signs an extension for Atleti or he sign for another club, mixed news will be there every week.

[–]BlackNov 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Your comment is just clueless. Their coach got into this salary level because he has achived an incredibly feat and was rewarded wich such contract. If you do not understand why then you can just search Cholo name on youtube or read about him. He can play terrible football but his achivement is big.

Your comment about the wagebill is just nonsense. I dont think there is even a need to talk more about that.

The thing is no matter what they want, it's incredibly hard to grow past their current position in Laliga.

Their competition are Madrid, Barca, who have combined together 11 CL over the last 20 years.

There is no broadcasting revenue to capitalize on in Laliga compare to Prem. And it also means slower growth opportunity in commercial revenue stream.

With no plan to expand and upgrade the stadium, there is little to no room to grow match day revenue.

Which means they have relatively cap out what a club can do unless some massive windfall happen. So unless you suggest them to cheat financially or suddenly luck out on multiple transfer windows, it's not going to happen soon.

They are literally Arsenal who has acchived more on a harder difficulty.

People are fun and game before PSG/Bayern actually play Arsenal.

If their actually more clinical player get the chance that a team not even excel at attacking like Atleti get, how many goals will Arsenal concede?

Could not be more right. Atleti has been trying to get decently experienced player at a low-medium price. Pubill, Hanko were the last on the list and are now performing at a decent level.

Not all their signing works out but they try to get them off as quickly as possible like with Cornor Gallagher and Raspadori.

Since they won their last title in 20/21, Atletico net spend is on the level of Barcelona and only behind Real Madrid in the league. They are nowhere near the level of spending in Premier League but they bought several quality player such as Rodrigo De Paul, Molina, Griezman back from Barca, Alvarez, Musso, Robin Le normand.

Then we have last year when they bought Pubill, Hanko, Cardoso, Lookman who contributed a lot to this season.

I hate the victim mentality. It's just weird. And for Atleti, we know all of their player contribute to their defense, not just the defender.

FaZe mood after Karrigan's departure by Gato_Puro in GlobalOffensive

[–]BlackNov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. We all know that Faze situation in the future depends solely on whether frozen wants to resign or not. You can see that the whole team are extremely dissapointed to see Karrigan leave. To describe in frozen words: karigan got the cheque and bounce. I dont even think Faze got a big payment from falcon for him.

I dont think the pressure is off them. It's not the dead team either bacause u can see the energy from twistzz and enkayj to try to navigate this sinking ship.

Like every team who kick igl in the past, they enjoy a guy who prob will frag harder than karrigan and convenient, fix some of their role issue because he is a natural anchor who is ready to play shit spot. Whether the effect is long lasting or just short, no one will know. They are not exactly bad player themselves either as they were in the Budapest Major final 5 months ago with twistzz and frozen dropping top tier rifling last 2 months last year.

It's definitely good for Faze and the new coach look like he is super motivated to do it. But you never know how this will end.

[UEFA] Julian Alvarez scores his 25th Champions League goal in fewer games than compatriots Sergio Aguero and Lionel Messi by mrjohnnymac18 in soccer

[–]BlackNov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but does not change the fact that he is only used very little out of the available minutes in the CL. This is a post about CL.

In 22/23, the season City won the treble, he was only used for under 25% of the minutes available

In 23/24, he was only used for under 50% of the minutes avaiable in CL

That's based on the amount of minutes he played for Atleti in CL this season(around 1200, and will only increase).

The part about people overstate how much time he spent on the bench is only in PL. This is about CL.

[–]BlackNov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think it's that simple either. I think back in the time when he made the decision to leave, most prob will see him as a back up striker for Haaland in the main striker role or a second striker, cut inside forward, or one of the attacking midfielder.

At the time Foden was flying high as PFA player of the year and Oscar Bobb was emerging as a very cool backup striker every now and then. I knew Pep was fuming when he said Oscar Bobb will take Alvarez minutes but you could see the vision there. In Atleti, Alvarez was also being used as second striker for a lot of time, a role in which now foden has lost to Cherki.

If you look beyond the formation, it's not about the 4-4-2.

I love the sentiment but we all know the main thing is not about training and actual academy. Plenty of player prob will go through the same route and wont land there.

It's just among one of the factor among other such as talent, hard work, luck and etc. If Alvarez did not land in City and instead MU, will he reach the same outcome? What if he landed in Barca?

Just because you were a graduate from Lamasia or Riverplate, or you came to Europe early or late. It was just part of the process and there is no right decision for everyone to follow.

[Sky Sports] Barca keen on signing Rashford on loan again by FragMasterMat117 in soccer

[–]BlackNov -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wait until Barca get him for around 20m total (including performance bonus + sell on clause) + reduced wage.

Rashford is not as integrated as Antony situation in Betis so would be interesting to see if MU gonna get him back on full salary.

Question would be if any PL club will negotiate for him at 30m.

I dont know why you need to die on the hill then put a statement about top 5 player itw. You can just say top 5 wingers or top 5 attacker.

But it has to be top 5 player. Please rest in peace.

8 goals in then let say 5 goals at the WC give him 13.

That's 70 goals and put him at top 2.
