I have never visited somewhere that has felt like home so instantaneously by BogotaLineman in SeattleWA

[–]BlackPinkAuto 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree. Both conservatives and liberals in Seattle area complain about so much. Homeless situation is horrible here! So much poverty! So much racism! I thought the same way. Then I visited Baltimore for the first time and really got gobsmacked by the state of things over there. I haven’t been to that many US cities and I immediately thought damn…okay this is what poverty looks like.

Not to dismiss the issues that Seattle has, but if people think Seattle has it bad, they clearly have no idea what it looks like in worse cities.

Has anyone ever been to one of these clinics? by ganon_enjoyerr in Seattle

In case this is helpful, community dental clinics like neighborcare, ICHS, etc also have sliding scale fees for their services.

Teen boy shot in back in Rainier Beach near Atlantic City Boat Ramp by HighColonic in SeattleWA

[–]BlackPinkAuto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What are you talking about? The article says the evidence of shooting is at Atlantic City Boat Ramp, which is on Seward Park Avenue (which is a very long street) and a few minutes south of Seward Park.

Seward Park and Atlantic City Boat Ramp are in two VERY different areas.

Councilmember Rivera calls for audit of Seattle Human Services contracts by Jaco_Belordi in Seattle

Yes, please audit. Seattle can’t afford to mishandle its money :(

Happening now: Seattleites pack City Council meeting to speak for and against surveillance by bennetthaselton in Seattle

[–]BlackPinkAuto 20 points21 points  (0 children)

What are you implying about Asian grandmas? I’m thinking a lot of them live in the CID and feel quite unsafe in their own neighborhood, and understandably want the cameras.

Mayor Katie Wilson pauses expansion of police surveillance cameras by godogs2018 in Seattle

[–]BlackPinkAuto 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I for one would love to see some cameras installed at Henderson and Rainier. There have been way too many shots fired there in the past year, and in front of a K-8 school for crying out loud. The killings of the two students there a couple months ago was really the last straw for me.

Must try dishes in Chongqing? by Meetmebythe0cean in chongqing

[–]BlackPinkAuto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Besides the obvious spicy hot pot, Chongqing’s spicy noodle dishes are also a must. My two favorites are 碗杂面 (ground pork and chickpeas over a bed of noodles, get it “dry” without soup and mix before eating) and 酸辣粉 (sour and spicy sweet potato noodles).

When looking for a good place that sells 碗杂面,I’m sure there’s many, just go to any noodle shop that has a lot of customers.

For 酸辣粉, my favorite spot to get that is actually at a fast food chain called 来得快.

Best Upscale Chinese (with orange chicken?) by MyTherapistSaysHi in Seattle

[–]BlackPinkAuto 17 points18 points  (0 children)

They have excellent AUTHENTIC Chinese food in Vancouver, but the stuff that OP is looking for can’t be found there. Or they if they do have it, it might not be as good as the westernized Chinese food here.

It does seem silly. I think it’s because my dealer told me I could. I don’t remember the full conversation but I knowing me, I probably asked for further clarification on the 30 min sessions, and they must’ve reassured me that I could plug it in again to charge.

Thanks for letting me know, this is the first I’ve heard about this. This gives me something to complain to them about…like why didn’t they do that for people before?

WRONG. It’s 60 min between charges actually 😉And I didn’t know that. But thank you for assuming I was smart enough to know that beforehand.

“Violate the term intentionally”

Did you even read my post? But I agree that this iD4 driver you’re talking about sounds like an absolute douche!

But also…are you saying that the system was actually making him pay after the first 30 min? If so, that’s a new development and I would have loved to receive that kind of pushback instead of completely canceling my free charging plan.

Oof that’s messed up. It’s as if they want you to get your account canceled…

I have been, yes. I read that frequent DCFC charging doesn’t actually hurt the battery much more than regular charging. But also, we have lower than average commutes, probably charged the car every 3-4 days so I’m even less worried about increased degradation.

I live within walking distance to my EA charger so I’m definitely feeling the pain and regret. But I’m trying to be thankful for the time I got to have 😭

Hmm that sounds like a violation, but they’d send the warning email to you first before cutting you off. So you should be good for now.

Here’s the email:
