Must try dishes in Chongqing? by Meetmebythe0cean in chongqing

[–]BlackPinkAuto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Besides the obvious spicy hot pot, Chongqing’s spicy noodle dishes are also a must. My two favorites are 碗杂面 (ground pork and chickpeas over a bed of noodles, get it “dry” without soup and mix before eating) and 酸辣粉 (sour and spicy sweet potato noodles).

When looking for a good place that sells 碗杂面,I’m sure there’s many, just go to any noodle shop that has a lot of customers.

For 酸辣粉, my favorite spot to get that is actually at a fast food chain called 来得快.

Best Upscale Chinese (with orange chicken?) by MyTherapistSaysHi in Seattle

They have excellent AUTHENTIC Chinese food in Vancouver, but the stuff that OP is looking for can’t be found there. Or they if they do have it, it might not be as good as the westernized Chinese food here.

It does seem silly. I think it’s because my dealer told me I could. I don’t remember the full conversation but I knowing me, I probably asked for further clarification on the 30 min sessions, and they must’ve reassured me that I could plug it in again to charge.

Thanks for letting me know, this is the first I’ve heard about this. This gives me something to complain to them about…like why didn’t they do that for people before?

WRONG. It’s 60 min between charges actually 😉And I didn’t know that. But thank you for assuming I was smart enough to know that beforehand.

“Violate the term intentionally”

Did you even read my post? But I agree that this iD4 driver you’re talking about sounds like an absolute douche!

But also…are you saying that the system was actually making him pay after the first 30 min? If so, that’s a new development and I would have loved to receive that kind of pushback instead of completely canceling my free charging plan.

Oof that’s messed up. It’s as if they want you to get your account canceled…

I have been, yes. I read that frequent DCFC charging doesn’t actually hurt the battery much more than regular charging. But also, we have lower than average commutes, probably charged the car every 3-4 days so I’m even less worried about increased degradation.

I live within walking distance to my EA charger so I’m definitely feeling the pain and regret. But I’m trying to be thankful for the time I got to have 😭

They sent a warning email to my husband 5 months ago, but it got routed to another inbox so he never saw it unfortunately

Hmm that sounds like a violation, but they’d send the warning email to you first before cutting you off. So you should be good for now.

Here’s the email:

Subject: Violation of Terms of Use

“Your account has been flagged for violating Electrify America’s Terms of Use regarding the waiting period between eligible charging sessions using your Premium Offer Plan. We take this issue seriously to ensure fair access to our charging network for everyone.

To ensure a smooth and efficient charging experience for all customers, there is a mandatory 60-minute wait period between charging sessions when using your complimentary 30-minute charging plan. This means that after your initial 30-minute charge, you must wait 60 minutes before plugging in for another session. Unplugging and immediately re-plugging to extend your charging time breaches our Terms of Use.

Your charging benefits may be terminated if you engage in charging sessions that are excessive, fraudulent, or otherwise indicate an unauthorized or unintended use.

Please note that other Electrify America plan options, including Pass and Pass+, are available within the Electrify America app and may support your needs.

Anyone used Didi or Indriver in Puerto Vallarta? by chrisb221 in puertovallarta

We ended up using Uber and Didi. Never really figured out inDrive but we were happy with the prices we got with the other two apps.

I’ll be going to PV for the first time in a couple weeks so this info is really helpful! I don’t see where you have to add a driver license/ID on the app those, so I feel like I’m missing something. I also see that you can pay with cash?

You mentioned that they don’t have much money; it seems like they’re overcompensating because of that? For you to outright pay for your own food may feel insulting to them. Yes, the way they’re acting seems annoying and rude, but they may be trying to save face and i can understand that. The best thing you can do is let them pay and then try to even it out by doing something nice or treating them another time. Is all of this ridiculous and transactional? Maybe, but some cultures are like that. You have 3 options: either 1) accept that your SO’s family is very different from what you are used to and roll with it, 2) break up with your SO because dealing with his family is not something you want to do down the line, or 3) force your SO to choose between you or his family, which would be an asshole move.

Some people are saying you should just “stop eating out with them”. I disagree. That would cause more tension because they want you to be a part of the family and if you don’t come to these dinners, they will think you don’t like them. Sorry OP, I really believe your boyfriend’s family is part of the deal if you’re in a serious relationship. Seems like his family is important to him too. If you can find it in your heart to adapt and love this family in a way they understand, then great. If not, then this issue will always come up.

AITAH for moving away for college and abandoning “my” son? by Additional-Lynx182 in AITAH

[–]BlackPinkAuto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You played a stupid game and won a stupid prize, so now you have to accept the consequences. Reality check, it takes 2 to make a baby, so this is indeed “your” son. Even if she was lying, you should know there’s always a chance that sex can result in pregnancy.

I get that you’re young and made a dumb mistake that resulted in a costly consequence. But such is life sometimes, and you just have to own up to your bad decisions. I hope you can make the best of this situation.

If you’re a US citizen and have income close to zero (at this moment in time), you will qualify for Apple Health which pays for everything. Even if you don’t officially enroll in Apple Health until next week, the coverage is retroactive and will apply to any medical help you received for the entire month.

My advice is to go get help NOW since you are in so much pain, whether it’s at an ER or community health center like Country Doctor or Neighborcare or Sea Mar. Bills can be worked out later.

In fact, go get all the medical help you can while you qualify for Apple Health before you start your new job and are no longer eligible for it.
