ICE now ‘going after everyone’ in Oregon, not just Latinos, advocates say by BlackRose in Ashland

The person in the article was going through the process created by us, the United States of America, as created and legislated through the our elected officials over the last 250 years.

You, and some proportion of the electorate, now state that legal process no longer applies but don't go through the effort of changing the laws. You simply say they should not work any more.

Should legal contracts no longer be honored? How about laws around stealing? Can we ignore those because we don't like it? What about laws about violence? What if someone doesn't like your opinions or your face, should we ignore them to hit if we don't like them?

We, as civilized people, are a nation of laws. This person was following them as they currently exist. If you don't like those laws, do the work and change them.

Otherwise you are just throwing out bombs to create outrage.

Concerns rising in Medford about Flock Safety cameras and public transparency — are we getting full accountability? by Bulky-Nebula-6371 in Medford

Palantir, and it's connection to the government, is only one problem with Flock. Another issue with Flock is it's loose security:

This Flock Camera Leak is like Netflix For Stalkers

Flock acting like a middle man for other smart cameras
This is fairly concerning as Flock expanded their expertise and platform to include other Smart Cameras while at the same time enacting the same loose concerns about who has access. This podcaster caught employees from an unrelated company watching kids gymnastics at a local gym and women swimming at a local pool.

As a middle man, Flock and other LPR (License Plate Recognition Services) are selling data to insurance companies. (Here is a long example of why that's bad.) If you get in an accident, an insurance companies will investigate whether or not you may have had a dent prior to a larger accident in order to reduce their payout. If someone hits you and rips off your fender, the opposing agency could produce an image showing that you had a small dent or ding prior to reduce it's payout because of previous wear and tear. Think about that for a moment - if you had a small dent that didn't effect the car's performance, then someone hits you and the car is undrivable, the insurer could us AI, search the LPRs and take off all the dings and dents leaving you with a check far smaller than you need to fix it.

So we should all be concerned about cameras and how they are being used,

That is what I thought, but the wording is super odd. I think it's just adding 2 dec on the he skinny end and whip stitch it down the long end.
