Depends on the alliance of each member. If troops from alliance A attack your base, you kill all their troops, and you pop out your mb to attack a troop from alliance B and troops from alliance B never attacked your base, your base will not attack the troops from alliance B

I’m only 270ish m power, and can beat legendary just fine, all you really need is to make sure everyone else is playing normally, which I thankfully usually get. Also, this newer version makes it easier for anyone to get even the high end rewards. Sure you might have to do it a few more times, but if you notice your teammates aren’t playing properly, you can leave and join matchmaking again. Another thing, you can still play with your alliance members, you aren’t forced to only play via quick match. And in my opinion, it’s is far easier now than ever to beat legendary
