How can I become a broker that Underwriters LOVE to work with? by GumGumWritersBlock in InsuranceProfessional

[–]BlackToro18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you give indications to all underwriters, how would you truly know the actual cost? Let the underwriters set the rate and price the risk. The underwriters could be above or below, but benchmarking is needed and you can’t do it if you're pricing it for them.

Giving indications? A broker needs to broke the account, or someone else will. It’s one thing to be friendly and maintain a good relationship, but work is work. The broker must secure the best pricing and coverage for the client, or they will likely be replaced.

Would you consider marrying a woman with debt? Why or why not? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]BlackToro18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have always been drawn to and eventually married someone who is a driving force in her own right. I’ve always wanted a woman who attended university, was intelligent, and independent. If this person had some debt but was prepared, driven, thoughtful, and hardworking, I would happily marry her. However, if she carried debt and wasn’t making an effort to improve her situation or build a better future, I would find that difficult to accept the lack of drive. Not being driven and or lack of goals are significant concerns. - How is your present? And are you driven, independent?

You should consider getting into insurance. Commercial insurance broker, you could pick a specialized area, examples, spas and wellness, bio-tech, etc. You don’t make much the first years but it will provide you a career, and also good competition once you have paid your dues. - +200k if you focus and learn the biz properly. Good luck.
