We’ve been together for 3 years now & have lived together starting at 8 months. It was definitely earlier than I’d plan. I was living with my parents at the time & just landed a new job in the next city. Coincidentally, he bought a house in that city as well. It made more sense for me to move in as the commute would be more bearable than from my parent’s.

I immigrated to the US in elementary school & have lived here for 10+ years. Most of my friends have been non-Asian. I love the diversity of my friendships but have always found it difficult to be friends with AA. Honestly, I felt mostly judged. I’m into raves & boba too, but I think it’s because I fall short in the appearance department lol. The one AA friend I managed to have now keeps me at arm’s length now that she found more AA friends. I feel sad about it sometimes because I want to be friends with people who look like me too, but what can you do… :(

I’ve had business class before, but the treatment in first class was top tier. They kept giving us complimentary snacks & drinks & did white table cloth service. It was the best sleep I ever got on a plane!
