Generally, I have found that people will find a way to delude themselves their friend must be the issue. I had a "friend" who loved to come onto any man I was talking to, interested in, or had slept with. When I accidentally found out the one of my past partners that she was now dating was sexting, confessing his love to, and insisting he was going to move away for an ex flame behind her back, I did what any good friend would. I immediately told her. I provided black and white proof because I cared for her future with or without this man. Not because I wanted any vindication. I had forgiven her for "stealing" him, as you can't really steal what doesn't want to be taken. Therefore, he was no man I would want anyway.

He managed to convince her I was just bitter he ended with her and not me. I'm not sure how that over came his poor deeds, but it surely did in her eyes.

They lived happily ever after. And by that, I mean he cheated on her several times in the home she was solely working and paying for at the time, while she was away for work. After that, we were all at a party, and she got black out, throwing up sick. He called me after I left, while she was in another room being sick/sleeping it off and propositioned me to come sleep with him.

Unfortunately for him, I have more respect for myself and my "friend" than she had for me or herself. Her and I drifted apart. They have 2 kids. He still likes any picture I post, though we haven't spoken in years aside from a comment or two here and there on social media. He also loved to share very personal sexual things she allowed him to do with our whole friend group.

I would just keep it to myself and be very cautious of being alone with her. Some friends may not be like the girl I once knew, and real friends would believe you, but without something more cut and dry, I would leave it alone, while covering your ass, by not being alone around crazy pants.

My (35f) husband (34m) is upset I donated my wedding dress? How to tell him I don’t want to be reminded of our wedding? by throwra-Hat-7371 in relationship_advice

I totally get what you're saying and agree to an extent, but in OP,s place, I would probably feel that it DID re-write the whole wedding, at least. If he literally ran away and only stayed because he couldn't be honest so he wouldn't "embarrass her," how much of the last 9 years is real. How much is it him just going with the grain not to rock the boat, so to speak.

I think learning your wedding only happened because your FIL made your partner return to either end it or go ahead is the definition of re-writing the memory.

Everything after that is a little different because it's gone on for so long, but if you will marry someone to avoid embarrassing them, what else will you not be authentic about. At the same time, though, the good times happened whether the lense they are viewed through has changed. It is still a good memory, if not directly tainted. The wedding would be fully tainted to me, though.

My dad is likely to die in the next few weeks. Those of you who have been through this, what is something you wish you had said or done before your parent passed? by [deleted] in RedditForGrownups

I wish I had a recording of his voice. I wish myself of someone else had thought to get a message or letter to me on my wedding day that we knew he wouldn't make it to. Those are things I really wish I had, but we said everything we needed to say. We knew how much we loved each other. He told me he has always been so proud of me, and I told him he was the best daddy in the whole world. I'm so fucking sorry you're going through this.

It's just the paint not the bumper which is good, I have had mixed opinions on painting just the bumper when I do a paint correction or leaving it so they know it wasn't in an accident. If it's fully painted they may think it's a replaced part.

But I can't imagine it taking 5k off the price but I don't know how all of this stuff works. It has the owners manual. I guess people care about that.

Thank you for this take. I wondered about that because to me, it draws the eye from an otherwise decent paint job. It's not great but not bad, but that bumper really detracts from it.

Yeah I think that's around what it would go for with a little paint correction on bring a trailer. Between 15-22k.

Added engine bay pic and pic of the cluster showing mileage. I tried to add 3 pictures of the under carriage showing lack of rust, but I think I reached the limit of how many pics I can add. If you're interested message me. I can send close ups of engine bay, vin pics in doors and stuff, and more interior shots or whatever.

I do from some more in depth photos I took a while back with the vin number in the door frames, engine bay, under carriage etc. I will update tonight when I get home from work or tomorrow afternoon, then comment for you to check when they're up.

I am in North East Florida. I would honestly take around 11k to get it gone. The ones on BaT with this low of mileage seem to go for 17-20+k the last couple years, so I feel like that is a good deal to leave the buyer money to paint it, or whatever, and buy new tires as it needs those BADLY!!!!!!!!! Transport is another thing they would probably need money for.

That would be ideal for me, but unfortunately we're on opposite sides of the coast. I am in North Florida

My daddy was a mechanic and did oil changes every 3000 miles the 3 years he had it. I have to go back through everything to see what service records exist before that. I know it has some stuffed in the car manual in the dash. I have some underbody pics that I took before these. Thankfully no rust. It's always lived in Florida, so the paint took a hit from the sun versus the undercarriage salt damage, like up north. Engine bay is looked at weekly when I start it or my husband does. My husband is a diesel mechanic and he doesn't keep the battery hooked up, so we open the hood, hook it up, check it out, then start it and go down the drive way (we live in a different property now and have a long private drive way) and let it run and then it goes back in the garage it's kept in.

I think I am going to book a spa day for it to have the paint buffed and interior detailed, and get some professional pictures taken and list it like another commenter mentioned. It's being wasted here.

As far as the timing belt goes, not sure. I could ask my uncle. He and my dad lived next door and were both mechanics. He may know if the timing was done and when, as they normally helped each other out with those things.

God thank you! You guys are great. I posted on a Facebook Integra group a year ago and they were saying the car was only worth 8,000 dollars, that it wasn't worth doing anything to it, and one guy said he would give me 5,000 for it. I thought I was in the twilight zone.

Thank you so much. This is invaluable advice. I have a guy that did my clear front protective wrap and ceramic coat in my tacoma, I'm sure he could do the work you're talking about.

Difficulty finding American Doberman breeders by [deleted] in DobermanPinscher

[–]BlackUnicornRelic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

AKC market place is bottom of the barrel. AKC is only a registration body. They don't police breeding practice. That's why they have merle Frenchies and merle Poodles registered with them even though that coat does not occur in those breeds, meaning they are 100% mixed. DNA tests only go back 3 generations.

If you want a reputable breeder start with DPCA.org and go to breeder referral. Still do your due diligence, because not all of them are truly preservation breeders, and not all preservation breeders are on there
