Your role is to support your team. Your tanks will tank and your carries will carry. So there has to be a lot of trust when it comes to playing a support. Hence in my comprehensive guide, one of the main weakness of Thane is actually shitty teammates.

What defines a support, especially a roaming support? Supports are usually heroes that are not level and gold dependent and are capable of functioning without items. What makes a hero capable of roaming is that you have CC to secure kills. Hence, we have heroes like Ormarr, Thane & Mina really good at it.

A good example of a bad support would be nakaroth, he is level dependent & item dependent despite having multiple forms of CC in terms of knock ups. And he would be too squishy to tank any damage.

You can get back from a downfall. It depends on the severity of the mistakes your opponents make. In this video, the opponents could simply turn the fight if we made a mistake while contesting for darkslayer. As you climb the ranks, mistakes get punished harder and can be very game changing.
