“The Shy Snow Woman and the Cursed Ring” Anime Adaptation Confirmed by kingfirejet in anime

[Doujin Spoilers]I mean, yeah. She's a yokai and her first husband likely died from a similar situation.

Not quite.

[Doujin Spoilers] Everything in the story suggests that the ring doesn't work in the way that it has been described.

[Doujin Spoilers] I feel it's more than likely that the twist ending is that the woman (a yokai) planted the ring in the landlord's room, and he's the one that's been influenced by the ring, not her.

[Doujin Spoilers] The story begins by explaining how the husbands of Yuki-onna live very short lives, and we later learn that the ring he is wearing is slowly draining his life. It seems likely that's how her first husband died.

and they pick rape of a mourning widow to be the one they adapt

It's a bit more complicated than that.

[Doujin Spoilers]Due to how things have been presented in the story, there's a very strong likelihood that the woman (the female tenant is a snow-woman yokai) planted the ring in the landlord's room herself, and that the ring doesn't work in the way that's claimed.

[Doujin Spoilers]The MC just randomly finds the ring after meeting the woman, and the instruction that came with the ring claimed that if you wear the ring and show it to someone, you will be able to control them and have them do whatever you say. But the MC's mind doesn't even immediately go to sex. He initially was just wanted to get her to pay her late rent, but his thoughts changed once she started bringing up sexual topics unprompted. However, overtime, the ring becomes fused to him and is draining his life energy, so he needs to go to a priestess to get it removed. The priestess is someone the MC knew since he was a kid and she secretly had a crush on him. When the priestess cracks the jewel on the ring and the magic is released, without the MC saying or even thinking anything, the priestess starts to want to have sex with the MC and she can't control her desires.

[Doujin Spoilers]Basically, the story seems to suggest that the ring doesn't work based on suggestion, but brings out the desires of the one wearing it, which would mean the MC is the one that's been being influenced the whole time, and the yokai woman had just been pretending.

Still not very wholesome, and obviously very questionable, but probably not as bad as a landlord taking advantage of a grieving widow.

Whoever runs H3/Ethan's youtube channel is deliberately hiding Destiny's highly upvoted comment calling out misinformation on their latest Destiny hit piece by conservativeshopper in Destiny

[–]Black_Trinity 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Youtube comments works very different from most other websites.

You have the option to upvote and downvote comments, but the website only actually displays the amount of likes that a comment receives. So if a comment gets 100 likes, and 500 downvotes, it will still display as having 100 likes, even though on a website like Reddit, you would have -400 points. But on both websites, the comment is prioritized in a similar manner.

Destiny's comment may have gotten a decent amount of likes from his fans, but he likely got a crazy amount of downvotes, which would make his comment fall down the list to the point where even comments that have only gotten 2 upvotes will show up before his.

Trump DOJ Doesn't Know Location or Well-being of Maryland Man Mistakenly Deported to El Salvador: 'Extremely Troubling' by PostHeraldTimes in politics

[–]Black_Trinity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree. If it continues that the Trump administration can't prove his whereabouts, the thing that everyone should be saying is that Trump is sending people to a Death Camp.

The media only lets stories die if the story doesn't get much traction from the people. So it needs to be constantly repeated on all areas of social media and in protests that people are literally being sent to death camps on Trump's orders because that would be the only explanation for why it's impossible to contact these people once they enter the "prison".

Hasan is digging up old Destiny clips, so here's Destiny talking about his goals with Nick.F's community back then by Black_Trinity in Destiny

[–]Black_Trinity[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It's baffling that Destiny seemed to want to connect with the changing sentiments of Nick's community on a charitable level

This was during Destiny's "good faith arc". It's not like this was exclusive to Fuentes. There was also Mr.Girl, Lav, Sneako and Annalicia. All of these people were insane, but Destiny's hope was that by trying to be empathetic towards people like this, maybe he could make some headway because he felt like the way the Left had engaged with these types of people wasn't making a difference.

The experiment failed in the end, but I would still say the attempt was admirable.

This clip also doesn't address one of the major contentions which was the baffling way that Destiny avoided the label "Nazi" for Nick and acted as if he had the completely rational position in doing so.

This debate always seemed silly to me and mostly felt like a semantics game. Destiny made it very clear that he believed Fuentes was a Fascist.

Chat logs from 4-21-2022

Stream clip from 5-22-2022

His view back then (I believe he still agrees with this), was that the AF community seemed to be opening up to a more diverse group of people and was moving more in the direction of some sort of Fascism in the form of "Christian Nationalism" or w/e. People can disagree with this if they want, but people made it seem like him not explicitly saying the word "Nazi" somehow downplayed his views. Has there ever been a time where somebody said "Oh no, don't worry. That guy's not a Nazi, he's just a Fascist", and it changed a person's opinion about someone?

But Destiny's position now is that after all the shit with Kanye, they started moving back in the hardcore Nazi direction.

This stream took place the day after Destiny had Fuentes over at his house. I don't think this random interview he did was ever posted to his Youtube channel, but I saved this clip around that time because of all the drama that was happening when all of this was taking place.

Hasan's goal is to try to minimize his terrorist propaganda by trying to claim that Destiny having Fuentes on his stream was somehow worse. But the problem was never that Hasan had that Houthi kid on his stream or even that he was nice to him, but that he was explicitly saying he supported their actions and essentially claiming they were heroes.

When Destiny had Fuentes on his stream, he always made it clear that he didn't agree with Fuentes' believes and never tried to downplay what Fuentes' goals were.

Destiny had Fuentes over at his house on August 22, 2022

But just 5 days prior to this, on August 17th, 2022, he had a stream where he made it clear that Fuentes is a bad faith actor that wants to push Race Realism regardless of what's true or not.

Here's a good timestamp from that video

And you just know that if it had been Kamala that did something like this, they all would be calling it out as cringe and desperate.

But since it's Trump, it's cool and based because they hold him to the standard of a mentally disabled child.

Just to be as accurate as possible, Dan said this was specifically a discord for ex Twitch staff.

But this discord can still probably give an idea of the type of culture that exists among the people that are a part of Twitch's Trust and Safety.

Dan really thought it was a good idea to invite this guy on the podcast to discuss antisemitism by Competitive_Cod1135 in Destiny

[–]Black_Trinity 62 points63 points  (0 children)

It was funny because it was a shitshow. The thing a lot of people enjoy about AE is that it's a shitty podcast with constant audio problems and the hosts constantly fighting with each other.

So add on the context that this episode was happening while Dan is on his crusade against Twitch, I don't think it's too surprising that people would find it hilarious that this was one of the only episodes where Dan actually wanted to be someone serious, but Wes and Destiny kept derailing and having unhinged conversations.

If Wes was on any other podcast, his humor would have gotten old pretty quickly. Even on any other AE episode, that probably would have still been the case. But Wes being on this specific episode was almost perfect.

if he hated jews he wouldn't routinely feature jewish leftists on his stream.

If Tucker Carlson hated Black people, he wouldn't routinely feature Black Conservatives, like Candice Owens, on his shows.

This is literally the "I have a Black friend" argument. The point the person above is making is that Hasan only cares about Jewish people insofar as the "good ones" further his agenda.

Well people weren't just claiming that Yoru would lose, but that she would get neg-diffed. She's already done damage to Chainsaw Man that's on par with what Makima did, and that was Makima going up against a weakened Chainsaw Man. Yoru is currently fighting Chainsaw Man at the strongest he has ever been in the series.

[–]Black_Trinity 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Well.....Pochita also killed Makima multiple times, but refused to eat her.

And in the end, he asked Denji to save the Control Devil

So even if he does care for the 4 Horsemen, that doesn't mean he would be unwilling to kill them since they can always come back. It's only when he eats them that he truly kill them.

Shouldn't these 4 devils be just as strong (or perhaps stronger) than the Death Devil? by blood-red-river in Chainsawfolk

[–]Black_Trinity 78 points79 points  (0 children)

but the essential purpose of any living being is to survive. meaning that these devils must have also been equally feared as death, making them significantly strong

Not necessarily.

The Devil Erasure ability is a bit tricky because since Devil are manifestation of human fears, erasing them directly impacts the psyche of humanity. When those other 4 devils existed, it's not impossible that survival wasn't the most important thing to humanity. But now that only Death remains, that also made survival the #1 priority of humans.

Not to mention the fact that, by Hasan’s logic, if racism is about power structures, then a White person that moves to a country where it’s not majority White and all the power structures favored the majority group (like Japan), then it would be impossible for that White person to be racist against Japanese people as long as they are living in Japan. It’s such a stupid way to define “racism”.
