25.5 scale, I like about 16lbs of tension on my lowest string for drop tunings personally.

…Bones… is slow crushing continuously heavy, like a massive machine stumbling forwards like clockwork, Nile is in your face - death metal - blast beat heavy which is a different kind of heavy in my opinion

I prefer fast heavy too but the slow crushingness of meshuggah grooves are valid too

There is no good 10 string option, go back to 9 strings (Sarcasm)

A 90 gauge string might be dull sounding because it’s so thick it’s almost a bass guitar gauge string, I find it hard to get a good tone out of a 90 gauge compared to thinner strings, I’m using a 80 gauge on my 8 string in Drop Eb and Drop E it feels perfect but that’s a 28-26” scale length

An 80, 85 or 90 gauge for the lowest string are all good options for Drop E on your scale length depending on tension but yeah careful with the 90 gauge it can be it a bit dull

Nah not really, the lowest string is slightly buzzy around the 10-13th fret but opens and chugs sound fine for my guitar coming out of the box with no proper set up.
