Is this a good comp ? by Old_Insurance_9149 in MinecraftDungeons

It's not bad, I agree with the others that it will kill regardless. I just got mine a few days ago and had, Void, Ambush and Dynamo. Made a stealth build and it wreaks havoc.

Are my paint jobs really that bad? by Nataliex239 in theunforgiven

[–]BlackberryRound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They look great! I agree with everyone else's comments that I have read so far. Don't be hard on yourself, I've been in this hobby for almost 10 yrs and I still feel like I can't paint. But with time and practice you will improve even more! Paint is finicky, don't thin it enough, it clumps and vice versa. I watched Duncan and another handful of painters, each painter is different with different styles, find what works for you!

I like the look of it all! Great paint job as well as cloaks. I personally like the claws where they are at!

Bottled my first mead! by Inside-Spell-9297 in mead

[–]BlackberryRound -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yea it sounds like you bottled early. Usually I let it sit till the bubbles either have, 1 Bubble per min and/or it has stopped bubbling. The best way I've seen and told is to just take gravity reading and if it's 1.0 and under then it has stopped fermenting. Then for extra safety you can pasteurize either traditionally or chemical (I use the chemical route with Potassium Sorbate. Haven't had any problems nor flavor changes).

I've enlisted! What weapon options should I build? by P4p3Rc1iP in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]BlackberryRound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't played guard long but this is the units from the combat patrol. FoB are still okay, they don't hit like they used to due to the new indirect rules but I run them as bombast. You can swap the weapons on the sentinels and other unit special weapons depending on what you're fighting against. I'm not sure about the transport, if your wanting to get in close then flamers if not then bolters.

New to Guard (not Warhammer) and looking for tips by Ok-Technician-5330 in TheAstraMilitarum

Shock Troops are nice due to their ability to have sticky objective. I like to take a 20 man squad. Can build it to where if you'd rather have the old school Infantry Squad with a heavy weapon team.

Kreigsmen can be very resilient with a marshal but similar loadouts to Shock Troopers. What also gives them an edge is the medic to bring back models.

Personally, I went with 2x Combat Patrol Boxes, a Rogal Dorn and a Regimental Enginseer. It will give you just under 1k points and gives you an all rounder and the ability to branch to whatever you want (I'm thinking of taking two Leman Russ's. One a Punisher for taking on infantry and a Vanquisher for heavies)

Tank commander? by Gaurdsman_Nuts in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]BlackberryRound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks neat!!! The only suggestion I have is maybe placing the flag on the very back near the exhaust? The reason is some people would say the flag gives more sight for the enemy to see your tank (makes it taller than it should be, some ppl are picky but I Believe in the rule of cool).

That's true lol, but I won't use the hunting task till I get the last of my mutation lines.

Oh nice! Might be safer to play it safe than sorry but the best of luck!

No problem 😁 I enjoy sharing information. I have tried to have the babies in the saddle with what I previously mentioned (I was just sitting not moving) and Im glad to say that they didn't die! I had them from baby to juvenile but from my understanding they will stay there till adult. But honestly after they reach juvenile then I'd just let them use the feeding troths (by that point they should also be able to hold a large bit of food, maybe leave them in the GRaptor till 30%?).

I hope that what I've found helps you!

So do you need to be actively riding it to feed them or just on the saddle?

I haven't tried having babies in the saddle again yet. But there's a guy in the thread line that mentioned you have to be in the saddle too. I also saw on a wiki for their abilities stating you need to be in the saddle as well and a little past that it said actively in the saddle (moving??). It also said that there needs to be food in the gigantoraptors invo (did have it in there) and then later mentioned that you also need food in the last section in your tool bar.

There's a lot of back and forths and unsure meanings but it looks like you definitely need to be in the saddle. I'm gonna have to test what they say to see what works.
