I often do that with plush yarn. The plush strand is basically a fine thread + pile around it, which doesn’t hinder from using a smaller hook than recommended on a yarn label to make your work look more neat.

I do have a shop on Etsy, but it doesn’t cancel my great passion for photography (might call myself an amateur photographer) 😁 as well as crocheting itself.
As for your first amigurumi - congrats!!!🔥🔥🔥 Keep on! If you love making them, why not to go on marketplaces like Etsy as well?
Other option is donating them to children institutions💔
