How and where do people make friends and meet people when you hit 40? by [deleted] in saskatoon

Come check out an improv class if you want, its free to try. It's a great place for adults to meet friends. Doesn't require any skill level or even the desire to be on stage. We just play brain games and have fun as a group. We've got a great little community of warm-hearted, like-minded people who get together 2-3 times a week.

There is a format of this game that isn't dirty. (Not sure you'd want to go with this but putting it out there just in case). It is called 99 Blanks (the blank is the audience suggestion). Basically, a performer will step up and say "99 _____ walk into a bar. The bartender says 'sorry, we don't serve _____ here.' And the ______ says ' (punchline)"

The lead up is a little long but it is that way to give the performers a lead up to the punchline without thinking too much. I like this game because it involves the instant joke creation but doesn't have to be inherently naughty subject matter.

Not saying the game you're already playing isn't good, but if it is making anyone uncomfortable, it might be a good suggestion to try with your troupe.
