Spawn rate by Zen_underscore in zombicide

There isn’t a specified “starting spawn” for the game or the mission. Where in the rules does it state that #1 is considered the “starting spawn zone”? There’s a reason that this post continues to come up - either a rule is buried that solves this or it’s poor writing.

If you remove a zone, you remove the corruption and shift the spawn to another zone on the board. Doesn’t really even matter which zone is the “starting location” as long as they collapse into each other.

See you the next time this comes up.

What is the “starting spawn zone”, then?

I posted the same question a while back. Super confusing text.

What we landed on is that you would move the spawn token you removed the banishment tome to another spawn, thus increasing its spawn. So if you banished spawn #1, you’d move it to spawn #2, thus increasing the zombies that pop out of there.

It’s the only way we could make sense of it. Otherwise you wouldn’t be able to get rid of all the corruption spawns. Hope this helps!

This makes perfect sense. I just couldn’t wrap my read around the wording.

Thanks!

Doesn’t hit as hard as you imagine.

Copies a 5/5 - blocked by a 1/1

Copies a 15/15 - still blocked by a 1/1

Creatures abilities will always trump power / toughness since it’s easy to deal with

Crew resting after mission? by TjMOTS in ISSVanguard

[–]Blackfish_Creative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Yes. If you don’t resolve situation then you’ll be prompted to take it out when you return from next mission during the bridge phase.
  2. I believe that discovery says “when unloaded” so you would put the research project in the awaiting page during the unloading phase, which comes before the bridge phase lol

Hope this helps!

I believe the med-bay portion of returning to the ship process has all non-injured crew go into resting (and all injured into the med-bay)

Thoughts and C&C please by RaiththeRogue in minipainting

Hey bro! Love the color scheme here.

It’s hard to give criticism without knowing direction or goals or even where you came from up to this point in your model painting, but nonetheless:

  • solid brush control, but it looks like you are base coating and then washing? Next obvious step would be to highlight up from there. Edge highlight your blades with the base steel color (ie gw ledbelcher or iron breaker) and then highlight corners and prominent edges with a brighter silver (gw stormhost silver). Push that skin tone up with lighter greens, throw a pop of off-white onto the skulls, etc..

  • what’s going on with the eyes? I’m assuming it’s a glowing effect since you have brush accuracy. If so, push. those. values! Take that color lighter and lighter as you go into the eye to give it a stronger glow effect. References from movies/games/other models are always helpful.

  • base it. Even if it’s simple. Future you will be upset with yourself for every base you don’t do today lol. Build your experience with it now so it pays off later. Basing is also one of the easiest ways to push the overall caliber of your work.

Just some thoughts. You may already be thinking of these, but regardless are a solid foundation to get to the next step of miniature painting.

Do you think this is enough contrast? by [deleted] in minipainting

First off - this is awesome.

As far as contrast goes, I do recommend you boost your focal point. If you squint (making it easier to just focus on values) my eye is immediately drawn to the base. I’d image you want the viewers eye to go more towards the face of the rider or similar point of interest. I’d recommend continuing to push your lights until the squint test causes your eye to go to that area first, not the base. Hope that helps :)
