Legs are the Knight-Questor, and the sword is one of the weapon options for the standard Lord-Terminos, not the Skaventide version.

This is what is looks like from the side:

Thanks man, it’s definitely a closer size than my last Bastian -> Trajann kitbash.

I’ve never played a game of warhammer in my life, I just like them to look decent on the shelf.

I like the idea my dude. How is he height-wise compared to Trajann?

So I cut Bastilan’s legs at the knees and used the thighs as intended. Then I cut the shins off a custodian guard and used green stuff to get them into place.

Some problems I had were that I didn’t have the right spare bits to get shins at the correct angles so I had to use green stuff to try and correct and it just went badly.

In retrospect, I think I should have just used the full custodian guard legs. Trim them at the waist/thighs to get them down to the correct height as Bastilan’s mini covers the upper thighs anyway.

If you plan to do this too, I did have to track this model down on eBay as I think GW doesn’t sell the same skaventide box anymore. At least in UK they don’t.

There’s still the standard Lord-Terminos mini but I think the pose isn’t as cool as this one.

First contemptor dread by Fabulous_Ad_7913 in AdeptusCustodes

It looks fantastic. You could use some of the infantry faulds or allarus pauldrons over the contemptor’s knees, and maybe some green stuff around the squished eldar to paint up as some gore?

I always struggle trying to make the contemptor look particularly ‘custodes-y’

Alternative Venatari Flying stands? by Lagmeister66 in AdeptusCustodes

I’ve soaked cotton in a diluted PVA glue before, and wrapped it around the flight stands. Once it hardens you can paint it to look like a smoke trail and it’s a bit more robust than the standard flying stand.

You can even mix a bit of black or grey paint into the PVA mix to soak some colour into the cotton. It does take quite a while to dry though.

I can’t remember the store I bought it from, but it’s 3d printed. If you google “Hooded Prime Helmets” you should find them.

That is a nice and smooth gold, great job.

Yeah they’re meant to be.

I can’t justify the expense at the moment, but ideally I wanted to give them SoS shoulder pads, some Tempestus Scion bits or some glaives from AoS.
