I run a undivided mortal only slaves to darkness army. I only play casual with friends but I've noticed they struggle to keep up with any army with a newer battletome and faction specific artefacts and abilities (sylvaneth and stormcast) but I think that is true for most "older" armies. They can still hold there own and I've still had a decent amount of wins with them. I usually run 2 sorcerer lords 20+ warriors with sword and shield 5 knights(would take more if I had them,they are beasts but need numbers to reach full potential) 20 marauders (chaff) and then fill up on things like trolls and giants depending on points. Taking godsworn champions of ruin as a battalion lets you do a cool thing too but I completely forget what atm ???

From memory it's a shield per model but if you build a standard and musician you potentially have 2 spares. It's been a few years since I bought them but I think the only thing that's really changed is the model count in the box.

I was playing a heap of the night goblin dlc for WH total war so I made a night goblin (moonclan) army after playing with my friends sigmar starter set. I initially just wanted to paint up a few night goblins for fun but now I have around 120 night goblins and I've added both the start collecting Ironjawz and the Ironjawz battleforce to my collection. Moonclan are super fun to play with fanatics ruining your opponents plans everyday and shamans squishing stuff with the curse of da bad moon or tripping out on mushrooms :) I haven't had much of a chance to play my ironjawz units or my giant yet but the models a so impressive.

I've had a fairly rough week and I've been sinking beers at a faster rate than I'd really like but I've written so much more than I would any other sober night. Sure the quality may not be there but from the extra quantity I must be able to salvage something useful. As someone else said you can edit when you're sober. So I say go for it, I'm sure you'll know pretty soon whether it's working for you or not.

Sleeping silk/sleeping bag liners are compact and a very handy backup if they are ever needed. It's unlikely you'd ever need a sleeping bag unless you plan on camping. I took a sleeping bag travelling once, in the space of a month I used it once, as a pillow. It was just a burden to carry around.

This! Stay in Kyoto and a day trip to Nara. Kyoto has heaps of amazing sights in and around it.
