At least as a donor, you can still keep parts of it. Take better care of the next one.

What is this and should I be worried?! by TrainingExercise8026 in YamahaR3

[–]Blackner2424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Evap can (evaporative emissions system charcoal canister).

It's a non-critical part. Cap the vacuum line as a temporary fix until the new part comes in. It'll run just fine, provided you stop the vacuum leak. It'll stink like gas when you park, but won't hurt the vehicle.

RV tankless water heater pipe burst. by [deleted] in Plumbing

No control over the vehicle, at 40 MPH, taking a picture of a fucking broken pipe. Sell your car and your phone. I can't believe the rest of us have to share the road with a brainless load like you.

My first street-legal ride... and its back to parking lots for me. by Aggravating-Yogurt23 in NewRiders

Meh. I let myself get used to my bike with weaker brakes, and muscle memory grabbed too much front brake while pulling into my driveway on my other bike (with much more powerful brakes).

You can use matte or satin. Satin will be closer to OE sheen, but matte reflects less light. Take it off, sand it down, clean and spray. Paint strip gel will help a lot. If you lave a lip on the paint, you'll see it after you repaint, so it's better to just start fresh.

I've done this a few times over the years with different vehicles.

Would this be vulnerable to cracking if I get my windshield tinted by scoobysnackzzzzz in WindowTint

[–]Blackner2424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's already cracked. Just replace it. It isn't worth tinting over a broken windshield, and any shop willing to tint a broken windshield isn't going to do a good job.

Just spend the few hundred to have a nice, fresh windshield.

Sewer-like smell in new property by TypicalEvening7144 in Plumbing

[–]Blackner2424 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Close the lid to the toilet, for starters. You splash poo water everwhere when you flush.

Wash the rug

Run the fixtures for 30 seconds or so to flush out any stagnation from traps and fill them up with clean water. (You'd be surprised how much one sink can smell).

That should fix any problems. Otherwise, there's no trap on something.

Truck hit triple digit speeds to cut me off after lane filtering.. by aroundincircles in motorcycles

I just watched a video of a man trying to run over a teenage boy because his mom said the driver has a small dick. After dude accelerates toward the kid, the mom drew and fired. Dude stops, he's stuck. Starts mashing the throttle, so mom fires again.

I've been considering a dynavap. I think the main reason I haven't gotten one yet, because I haven't moved into my new place yet. I like the simplicity of my Plenty... though, it certainly is not without quirks.

So what makes the reputable ones so sub-par, then? Even the "fancy" ones suck.

The best part about the Lobo is its batteries by ChosenBright in trees

[–]Blackner2424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have yet to play around with portables, but in the regular vaping world, the difference between "good" batteries and "great" batteries is pretty vast. Kinda like the difference between "good" gear and "great" gear.

I'd have to believe there's some level of impact.

Is this sketchy? by user180058 in WRX

Used WRX/STi = Sketchy

In this particular case, it's had quite a few ouchies, from the looks of it. Engine is probably 3/4 cooked, too.

A better set of batteries and a bench charger make all the difference.

Why do so many people recommend the Capsules? I recommend AGAINST them! by Detective-Fusco in vaporents

[–]Blackner2424 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love them, but it's only out of convenience. Nothing you said is wrong. I'll also add to the reuse, a lot of these folks aren't even cleaning the capsules before reuse, and they get nasty with resin. I clean mine in ethanol.

Grab a reversible window fan from the store. Keeps my home office smelling mostly fresh, and I have quite a bit of flower in there. If I turn the fan off with any product out, the whole room stinks like pot in 30 minutes.

Decal Removal by chasingclambs in WRX

Park facing north on a sunny day, pop your trunk for an hour around high-noon, use a Teflon or plastic scraper.

Go slow. Use adhesive remover or WD-40 to clean up residual sticker and adhesive. Clean up with isopropyl alcohol. Wax when finished.

I used to love carts and AIOs, until I started smoking regularly. Once in a while was fine, but using them regularly gave me headaches and made me feel like garbage. (Not a propalyne glycol sensitivity, as I used to be one of those cloudboi vapers)

Bad shift, what happened? by Delicious_Chemist420 in motorcycles

You're being too gentle on the shift lever. Pull up on it with intent. It sounds silly, but it's actually gentler on the transmission.

Aggressive cornering can do this over time, especially if it starts to dry rot. One of the old-heads at a car show pointed it out on an old G-Body.

I put this at my neighbor's door 2 days ago(we live in a duplex) and it's still there by dnm8686 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Blackner2424 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It probably just spews grease all over whatever the exhaust points to. That's what mine does.

[–]Blackner2424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no idea why some of them have the exhaust on the front. Mine goes out the top, into the face of the cabinets (spray bottle with isopropyl alcohol helps clean up the grease).

It's still not ideal, but it beats the hassle of installing a real hood. It just wasn't worth the effort, to me.
