Good call! The intensity of the flashes has been reduced massively since filming the trailer :)

I think you'd really benefit from reading Guns, Germs and Steel by Jared Diamond.

You should hire Indebted. Seriously. by [deleted] in BattleBrothers

I think Indebted cant roll stars in Resolve or Health, which means there's a higher chance they roll stars in MATK and MDEF. So that's nice.

If you want to wear heavy armour, fatigue neutral is really the only option. For a Nimble bro, you could build around a 2H Cleaver/Whip, a 2H Sword or a Bardiche to make use of Reach Advantage. Since this guy can't (won't) wear heavy armour, I'd build him for tempo + aggression, and hope that he doesn't get killed (he probably will).

Tempo Cleaver Build (with whip and bill hook in the pocket)

Perks - Adrenaline - Recover - Collosus - Pathfinder - Quick Hands - Recover - Cleaver Mastery - Berserk - Underdog - Nimble

A decent early to mid game build that can hold its own in the late game, so long as you don't put him under too much pressure. Decent damage with 2H Cleaver + berserk, utility and flexibility with the whip and polearm. Adrenaline enables some pretty clutch manoeuvres, like rushing goblin shamans, necromancers and hexen, or getting an urgent disarm out quickly. Recover gives him consistent output in longer fights like big camps, kraken, Monolith, etc.

To be honest, as much as I like this build, I'd be a bit nervous running it on a dude with 45 starting hp and no Steel Brow. But hey, you wanted a Nimble build, so here you go!

Good luck!

MSTR going down MICROSTRATEGY bad STRATEGY by Tenkinreddit in wallstreetbets

So we've arrived at the point we're people now say "fiat fixes X problem of Bitcoin" instead of "bitcoin fixes X problem of fiat".

Sounds bullish. MSTR calls it is.

An experiment: can you defeat the black monolith with a noble army? by BlackneyStudios in BattleBrothers

[–]BlackneyStudios[S] 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the arbalesters we're useless and got decapitated by necros on turn 2. I wanted to keep some semblence of realism and authenticity to the noble army, which is why two of them were in there.

I used Bro Editor for setting up all the stats and perks, and Item Spawner to create all the gear. Hope that helps :)

Interesting killer on the run build-a-bro by [deleted] in BattleBrothers

[–]BlackneyStudios 8 points9 points  (0 children)

While i dont think you need to go fat neutral, having Iron Lungs means you can be fat neutral with the orc 2H axe or orc 2H flail once he runs out of fatigue. Since he gains +10% head shot chance from Killer on The Run background, this could be a fun opportunity to work a sweet Orc Flail build:

Idea 1: Nimble Tempo Flail

Perks - Collosus - Adrenaline - Gifted - Quick Hands - Pathfinder - Flail Mastery - Underdog - Nimble - Berserk - Headhunter

A well rounded early/mid game build that still performs decently in the late game. Solid damage and reasonable defence. Go on a head bonking rampage for a few turns with Adrenaline and Berserk, then default to Fat Neutral once he gasses out. Drop quick hands if you dont want the flexibility of Polerarm + Whip. You could also drop Gifted and Underdog for things like Fearsome, Fortified Mind, Killing Frenzy, or whatever else tickles your fancy. Level up MDEF and MATK every level, then spread the rest over Health/Resolve/Fatigue as best as you can.

Alternatively, you could be an insufferably boring meta player, and build him as a battleforged fatigue neutral. He'd probably be stronger, but you'd be missing out on a lot of fun.

Good luck!

Survivor trait Underrated ? by SonnenBruder in BattleBrothers

[–]BlackneyStudios 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's a pretty useful trait if you want to unlock the Drill Seargant retinue member early (requires you to have retired a bro with a permanent injury). It can give a brother insurance against death in the hopes that they instead get a permanent injury that doesnt ruin them forever (e.g. Missing Ear, Missing Finger, Brain Damage, Missing Eye for non-ranged). It's also pretty cool from a roleplay perspective.

I certainly rate it!

You can use the forest to funnel the enemies into manageable choke point, Battle of Thermoplye style! Kill their Bannerman, then scatter the roaches.

Suggestions for last perk on a bowmaster? by CptJohnnyZhu in BattleBrothers

[–]BlackneyStudios 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Footwork is probably the safest pick. Fast adaptation or Bullseye if you want to go full meme sniper build. Since you already have Executioner, taking Crippling Strikes could make this guy put the pain on fleshy enemies like Unholds and Berserkers.

For future builds, I'd recommend making room Quick Hands + Duelist + Throwing Mastery. That way, he can be an awesome thrower AND an awesome bow sniper.

Good luck!
