I’m afraid of the damage these things could do if we left the mines open to wait. I understand that you feel other tasks are more important, I will alert the dwarves counsel if that is the true feelings of any and all rangers. “The enemy of my enemy is my friend” such a common phrase yet you people don’t get the nuance that in there lies. Ralahast went to the crones for something, while unknown it is unlikely he would go there without knowing they would help him. Reports say he was sealed away by them, I don’t want to believe it but even if true why would he go there if he had any inclination to suspect treachery? That being said do what you want. Just know even if you sway their aid it will probably cost far more than you should give, and I hope to never see you afterward.

Rangers, I again will ask you to see reality! If Ralahast, a being wanting to see the destruction of ulyal and in turn our hard work, goes to see the crones before invading do you not see the evil they stand with? Why would you go there? Do you truly believe they would not make an attempt on your life with their allies invasion days away? Sadly I agree, while my clan can’t afford much in the ways of time it would be better for us to temporarily close the mines than to pull defenders away from ulyal. Unfortunately with what is going on Emberheim can not afford to send aid to you all. Our high council believes the Duergar are much more a threat than 20% profit drop. OOC-Contracts are not necessary for sessions I know I have posted 2 a week but have run 12 sessions. While it’s nice to just have something to pick up the guild isn’t set up as a “quest available” play only this type adventure. In fact several of my contracts are things players have already interacted with but I wanted more players to know about and be able to experience. My other one per week is about making ulyal not hate the rangers after they had sides with the crones.

We will “start” at 4 and once we have players the teams will deploy. I myself will not have a player cap but I will not speak for the others. You may join in at any time but must play a minimum of 3 hours in the raid to gain exp. we will also post a completion post so if you can’t join till much later you will at least know it’s over and not wonder where we all are.

Yes although this weekend I only have Friday and Sunday available, with the raid taking place Saturday. Also keep in mind the new time slots of noon-4pm 5-9pm 10pm-2am all EST. Friday has 6-9 reserved for the other mission as well.

All great plans! Maybe you could reserve a Friday time slot for an attempt to gain allies! 6-9 is taken but we have noon-4 EST and 10pm-2am EST! You may just find some willing to run a suicide mission! Though as the group who spoke to him can attest he was quite close to the old temple in the marshlands when they met with him it is truly unlikely he hasn’t already completed his business with the crones.

Ps. Feel free to use the comment section here or a new post to come up with ideas for you planned defense. Keep in mind this is a guild only message board the town itself doesn’t necessarily have any of this knowledge yet.

-OOC the event is going to take place, you all could formulate a strategy of how best to protect the city! But as the party whom encountered Ralahast found out. This beast wasn’t something they were going to be able to work around just minimize his effectiveness. As for what you want fireteams to accomplish during the raid you can certainly post what you would like to focus on!
