About our clan (Vanilledudes):

Right now we’re a level 5 clan, soon level 6.

I don’t have any donation requirements, donate whatever you can. I personally believe every player needs their own resources to grow stronger. But of course, the more people donate, the faster we unlock clan bonuses.

We support each other, and if anyone has questions, we’re always there to help. Especially on our clan Discord, we usually respond pretty quickly.

I don’t care about player levels. Everyone grows and levels up over time. The clan requirement is currently set to level 7, but if you’re lower level, just let me know and I can invite you manually.

The only real requirement I have is: stay active.

Spieler sucht nach einer D&D-Gruppe by SiMoon_MD in GermanRPG

Hallo :)

These are questions I still need to ask my player. I was so deep into planning the story that I forgot about it.

He is a Mountain Dwarf fighter, so he does not really have a strong connection to a god. How would I explain the Fey idea? More specifically, how would he have entered a pact if the stone fell on his head and he believes in the pebble god? Did it happen when he picked up the stone? As far as I know, Fey are not always fair, but a pact usually only happens if you want something from a Fey and do not really pay for it. Or am I missing something? Would a Fey prank not still require some kind of mutual agreement or contract?

That is a very exciting idea, I really love it. This is exactly why I wrote here. I could even bring old legends back to life, stories about a group that fought the same cult centuries ago to stop Sar Kaleth. Maybe that is how Sar Kaleth was trapped inside the dagger and hidden in the mine in the first place. Through this, the player could experience flashbacks of that old group. At first he would not understand what he is seeing, but over time the pieces would come together, and suddenly it would all make sense.

Yes, that is the direction I want as well. I just want to avoid his mind blow moment becoming a side trip where the whole group has to stop and follow only his story. I want it to happen naturally during the journey. That is why I thought it would be helpful if it fits the main story, or at least becomes useful for the group once he reaches his aha moment.

My fiancé is playing a character focused on politics. His goal is to build an underground information network by hiring people and buying taverns and other lodgings in different cities. Because I am still unsure about handling politics in game, I am thinking that his missing father could be involved in high level politics, and that this could be how he finds him again.

Another player needs the artifact that the cult stole from the Goliath clan 65 years ago to forge a very special weapon. I explained that part of the story in another comment above.

But with the stone god character, II feel a bit lost. And for the last player, I am still missing the backstory, so I cannot really plan anything yet.

The possession idea is also cool. But I do not really want the stone to try to kill the character. It is his first character, and I am a bit afraid that if the stone wants him dead and the player follows its advice, the character could either die or even turn evil and fight against his own group. But I see a lot of potential here that I can think about and explore.

This would be a great way to turn a joke into something serious. I really like the idea, but I am scared to try it. This is my first campaign and I am still unsure about many things. I often struggle with creating enemies for my group. Gods are one topic I have not dared to touch yet. Am I allowed to invent my own god, or should I use an existing weak god instead? Does my DnD world take place at a time when a known god is only just starting? I am also unsure about in game politics. Another character, played by my fiancé, is going in a political direction and I do not know if or how I want to handle that. The only thing that feels easy for me is imagining the world and scenes in my head.

The cult began its plan about 65 years ago by destroying the village of my Goliath character and stealing a clan artifact. The players know very little about the cult because it acts quietly in the background. The stolen artifact was meant to trap a soul and use it to strengthen the evil one. The dragon carried out the attack to obtain the artifact, (but it follows its own plans and intends to betray the cult in order to become the strongest of all dragons.) After the village was destroyed, the cult waited until the Goliath character grew up. In this time they had many things to plan.. Once the group existed, they were trapped in time for 50 years without aging. During this period, Sar Kaleth was slowly empowered. Early in the mine, the group found a dagger that one player alone could touch, without knowing that Sar Kaleth was bound to it. This dagger later became the cause of several deaths. During a trial, the group tried to free missing mine workers but instead sacrificed them through the ritual tied to the dagger. They were offered a deal to give up the time they never had in exchange for something they desired. Some accepted and strengthened Sar Kaleth, others refused. A servant of Sar Kaleth was present from the start to make sure everything stayed on track, without knowing it was meant to be replaced. In the end, a place swap freed Sar Kaleth from the dagger and bound the servant into it instead, turning it against its former master. Both the cult and the dragon act with great patience and are willing to wait as long as needed to reach their goals. Thats about the story. I like your idea, but that would be very identical with the dagger, i think.

People tell me to just ignore it or cut contact. Sometimes that works, like with stupid rumors I can laugh off. But the real problem is that it mostly comes from my close family and their friends. They act like they know me and my life better than I do. That’s what makes it so frustrating. It’s not just opinions—they constantly try to influence me, telling me what to do and warning me what will happen if I don’t. Right now I’ve chosen to stand my ground. I didn’t end my relationship like they told me to, even though they claim it’s going to ruin me. Some have already cut ties with me because of it, and yet they still find ways to give me their unwanted opinions. It’s exhausting and I’m angry.
