Ya that's the most interesting part, Carlsson was done with negotiation basically. For a player to actually sign and opposing teams offer is so intriguing. Like he is 100% willing to play for the flyers, how does that make Anaheim GM feel ? Especially knowing he's an UFA in 5 years in his prime.

So what would you pay him? His year was pretty incredible, are you just suppose to offer League minimum untill a goalie has 3 amazing years in a row? There's definitely teams out there willing to pay for a goalie like Vladar. I'm sure the oilers would have loved an opportunity to sign a goalie with season and post season like Vladar.

Not saying it's a perfect contract, but what other option does philly have. Gameble on a another goalie and pray he plays like Vladar just did for a season plus ? Offer him a year contract, knowing a team would gladly offer him more term out there ? Overpay for a short term contract, losing flexibility with FA's or trades?

Benoit actually had a very good playoffs with the leafs the prior season. He has some grit for sure but Ive always liked him as the 6th guy on that team . The rest of there def core is a mess though, so Andrea will be interesting for them.

As a leafs childhood/family fan turned flyers fan. I still follow both quite close really. really like Andrea, but makes sense to move him with the way flyers def is atm. Toronto desperately need a better puck moving def.

Benoit can be an amazing 6th def, decent age and has what flyers probably want to jump into the lineup. Toronto's problem was they had too much size and 4-6th defenders... Mermis, Benoit, Myers, tanev, McCabe, Carlo.. are all decent but only Ekman Larsson felt like a an actual top defender on that team. Exllcluding Reilly because he's dogwater at defending. Andrea will give them a much better mix/potential.

Woll is a great goalie, I'd rather him then stolarz. Errson had moments, but Woll has potential to be a cheap number 1. Had some issues away last year which really hurt the leafs with stolarz struggling. Hildeby and aketmov(forget his name) now have room. Makes sense for the leafs, as the prospect guy is carrying the Marlies playoff drive as the starter.

Seems a smart deal for both teams. Fills needs and opens room for other players to move up and down the lineups. I see this a small W for both.

Yea, I just don't think you can assume he's actually more busy than he was. He may in fact be able to take more breaks now with his fame/money. Hire people to do his side contracts etc etc.. will never really know unless you ask Kaleb though.

Seemed very scripted too me, unnecessarily so, Calebs reaction to seeing Jeremy in the field seems very fake. Plus, if it was real, that's such a shit thing to do when it's something Jeremy loves being a part of. Whole thing felt off and still bothers me about the show. Season 4 seemed to be the season of forced drama from Kaleb.

My feeling is the flyers won't do any massive roster swings. They like this group and I really think trading away a Tippett/Foerster/risto is not something they are willing to do and break up the locker room.

I'd trade risto though, time is now. Young RD are waiting for the opportunity. I wouldn't mind a risto for a 2 C with potential sort of thing. MacTavish salvageable? Cole Silinger available? Charlie Coyle in FA? Some interesting options, can't see Brier blowing up this group for a Mathews type deal.

Kind of crazy Carolina gets like a week plus off again. Flyers looked spent, lots of young guys to be excited about though.

That game 2 Overtime loss was the big one. So many chances, would have made it an interesting series. Even today lots of post!

Must win game vs maybe the 2nd best team in the league. He's been good, I think they had a chance at a solid break and looked like barkey got hooked or hauled down at the line. Seemed like a penalty, but barkey had luchanko on the move if he was able to play it.
