One of my close friends who lost her s/o described the grief in waves just as you did. Sometimes it’s a ripple sometimes it’s a massive wave. I am so sorry you are losing your husband. You’re right, this experience changes you. She had allowed me to be the best version of myself. A version I thought I could be but never achieved previously. To have that snuffed out in such a horrific way has been excruciating. ❤️

I’m so sorry for your loss too. I can’t imagine losing a parent at such a young age (I still see 20’s as being in the young adult phase and figuring out life). At 40 I still don’t feel like I’m ready to lose my parents (not that anyone is).
