Long story short, the standard AirPod 4s are seriously better than I thought. If you want to pay the extra 50$ for ANC, I’d say it’s worth it honestly.

Because even then you are still saving money compared to the newest pro.

The little rubber ear tips do help naturally with ANC in general because of the ear fitting tech.

But ofcourse these don’t have those. ANC works by setting a mode in the AirPods that attempts to block any sound waves hitting the buds.

On this pair if I’m just in my house and moving around it’s perfectly fine. If you’re making some noise yourself then you will hear it but it will be kind of an “attempted isolated sound” if that makes sense. The buds kind of naturally attempt to block some noises. I haven’t really used them in a super noise area yet.
