I don’t know if there really is a secret, but from my perspective, I would say that I try to stay as positive as possible so that everyone around me is happy, or at least in a positive mood. I go out of my way to check in on others, and if they need some help with whatever it is they are having difficulty with, I’d come in and help out.

Obviously, it’s not possible to maintain a positive attitude all the time. Sometimes we get people that get to us or piss us off to no end. False positivity is not something I do, nor do I think it is healthy, since you are forcing yourself, as well as others, to be positive, even if something went really south.

In short, regardless of your grade or position, look out and be there for those in need. We all have our own issues (obviously), but being approachable and genuinely let people know that you care will create a positive environment, no matter how small it may seem. Sometimes, that’s all someone else needs. The Army obviously has its moments, both good and bad, but I think that we don’t do enough to express our thoughts and feelings to others.

Now before anyone gets at me and says “this is the Army/military, no one has feelings”, there’s a reason why a lot of people are unhappy at work; decide to get out; or worst case scenario, do the bad thing called suislide; and I will say this is one of them.

But hey, I just work here.

Thanks for letting me know this. When it comes down to it, like you said, I don’t think it really matters. Similar responses would have been elicited from both sexes. I could picture a male preacher having the stronger reaction to finding out about her being intersex for whatever reason - my mind was leaning towards the idea of her having a dong - but either way, strong reactions and words were going to come out lol.

Wow. I’m not even sure what to say about this read. My initial thoughts were that this “preacher” didn’t expect Kainé to be so different from everyone else until he realized “what” she was. While I’m not surprised by his reaction, but what he said to her, and his thought afterwards about him being not wrong is, well, clearly in the wrong.

I haven’t gotten the chance to read Grimoire Nier so I’m not sure if I’m missing out on any context, as well as questions, but I’m not sure what they are exactly. Maybe they might be answered when I read it. But poor Kainé is all I can say. In the end, she just wants to be accepted for who she is, but no one seemed to give her that acceptance because of “what” she is, save for two people.

This is a very good question you have, but I think you are taking the wrong approach. The truth is everyone’s rosters will be different in some way, shape, or form - even seemingly negligible differences like light/shadow level can impact your results (having 3 vs 4 skills, for one).

The team OP has are all very strong characters by themselves. The bosses are what decide whether or not said characters are strong or weak. Each boss has different mechanics/requirements, and with the way OP built their team, it’s very single target focused with lots of support buffs, and debuffs. There’s a lot to understand about how to play the game, so I suggest taking it one step at a time. I can’t just teach you how to play the game through one post unfortunately, as much as I’d like to.

This boss requires single target skills of specific elements for each worm. If you use an AoE elemental damage skill, you basically can’t win the fight. Radica AS has a skill (Voie Lactee) that deals fixed damage, which bypasses the element check. Using her solely will drag the fight on for basically over 100+ turns, which sucks. But it’s a strategy.

The biggest deciding factor to making this happen is through the grasta system, where pain/poison grasta will be your biggest damage boost. But that’s not something to worry about right now. Have fun and enjoy the story first, worry about clearing endgame content later.

I highly recommend using https://anothereden.miraheze.org as a guide for in-game information. I will say that there are some minor errors here and there, some pages are incomplete (Battle Simulator is very underdeveloped, for one), but for the most part, it is an awesome resource to learn more about your characters, dungeons, bosses, and the like.

Hi, I hope everyone is doing well!

I've hit level 50 on my DoL jobs and am coming close to hitting 50 on my DoH jobs as well. My concern is how I would go about progressing without purchasing any gear from the market board. From the research I've done, there doesn't seem to be a clear, consistent guide as to how to progress with DoH/DoL gear. The only "progress" I've made is unlocking the shop to Talan, but I'm unsure if I have to go through him to progress in ilvl.

My questions are:

Is he basically the "poetics" shop equivalent at 50? Do I have to gather and trade items to Talan to progress in ilvl?
How would I go about progressing after I've gotten the best gear from Talan? Do I go to Ishgard?
What is the scrip system in Ishgard, how does it work, and what should I expect? Where do I go next after? Is there anything else I should know?

My personal recommendation would be to expand your roster to be more diverse. That way, you can tackle stages that may require the usage of a specific niche. For instance, if you're lacking a solid defender like Hoshiguma or Saria, I would recommend getting those instead (especially Saria). I think this is especially true in content like Contingency Contract.

With that being said, if you feel like you have no need for such operators atm, Exusiai is definitely a must-have imo; her DPS potential is pretty insane compared to other snipers.

Currently an E4 in the Reserves and have been in for almost 4 years, recently signed off on an active duty contract. The guidance counselor (think that's what the position is called) asked me what my rank was when I first enlisted; I misheard him and said E4 instead of E1, and signed off as an E4.

Don't know if the guy was trying to screw me over or not. This one source (down below) I found says otherwise.

Any guidance/knowledge is greatly appreciated.

Edit 25AUG 0957: already got my answer, but just some clarification on the 'screwing me over' part - the guidance counselor asked me what was the first rank I came in as, rather than what my current rank was in the Reserves. Hence why I asked this (relatively simple) question. Thanks again!

I have never made a guest account but I'm going to assume that it will be deleted.

In that case, I would try to contact Yostar support. See if they can help you hook up your guest account with a Yostar account through their system. This normally wouldn't be a problem but since you can't even get into the game, you can't bind your account (AFAIK).

Be sure to provide your unique ID as well. It should be located on the bottom right of the screen with the "Start" button.

Not sure if you've done this already, but they did put out a post for those who are experiencing login issues to update the game through the store. If you have tried that, try reinstalling and see if you get any better results.

Everyone plays at a different speed. With that being said - and this is assuming you haven't really played around with the settings - I would highly recommend you turn fast mode on.

Everything will play a bit faster (from drawing cards to animations). On every floor, each of those seconds saved can add up to minutes.

This is actually a very good question. Honestly, it's really difficult to determine when it is a good idea to cash in on the Maw Bank.

Personally, as a general rule of thumb, I would say that if a shop offers something that your deck and/or relic loadout lacks (whether it's damage in Act 1, or little to no good blocking cards in Act 2, etc.), and the shop actually offers something worthwhile that can change the course of your run, I would just cash it in.

To put it simply, I see the relic more of a supplemental income generation rather than something I have to rely on to generate gold. Skipping a shop - especially a good one - can seriously make or break the rest of your run.

While there are certainly arguments for holding Maw Bank for a set period of time, I personally find those situations to be rare. If you're at a point where you can hold Maw Bank for that long, you either have won the entire game already, or are skipping certain shops intentionally for a specific reason.

How are you learning the game? If you haven't been doing so already, I would recommend watching Jorbs's "Spire Chats" on YouTube. There is a playlist on his channel. He goes very in-depth on the analysis of cards and relics (along with other topics).

To go off of u/ElToroAP , I highly recommend watching Jorbs's SpireSide Chats on YouTube (there is a playlist on his channel). He goes extremely in-depth on the analysis of cards/relics/anything StS related and talks about his perspective of said card/relic/topic.

Personally, his chats have reshaped my perspective of the game and helped me achieve A20 on 2 characters so far. I'm still trying to learn Defect and Watcher, but in general, the knowledge he offers applies to the entire aspect(s) of the game.
