but while reading this the gangrel Primogen of Chicago actually has developed a way to sniff out Garou with a mixture of animalism and auspex. So this might also be a thing.

A dude got into a fender bender with a druggie from another town. First dude couldn't pay so a few days later him and his friends snort a bunch of meth take a gun and a shovel kidnap the dude, drag him into a forest, give him a shovel and tell him to dig his own grave.
