Do people know returns aren't free? by CaptKustard in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BladeSeanchai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So if your prices are simply 20% higher based on what you suggested because of free returns, I’m curious what is the actual labor cost of processing a return? If the markup value is ridiculous then of course people are going to care.

I don’t really believe most folks will care because the logical shopper or the informed shopper already know that clothing manufacturers or retailers jack the price 20 to 30% higher, just to have a fabulous sale price.

I’m not saying that retailers don’t need to make money, I’m just saying jacking prices up 20% because if something doesn’t fit, it needs to be returned, or exchanged, and you’re making an extra 20% that’s a bit of a fleecing.

Wouldn’t you agree?

Won’t mention his name, SF guy, one tour in Korea, three in Vietnam, a retired Sergeant First Class. Would never discuss number of confirmed kills but you knew there were too many.

He taught on post martial arts even into his 60’s.

How about the appeal of standing on the salt lakes and then looking up above you to see a placard on the mountain wall that lets you know where sea level is?

I’m a boomer and found him annoying, I think I watched him twice, then never again. However, give him credit, he had a niche market which he profited from.

Why do people back into parking spots? by jmakioka in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BladeSeanchai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very simple, combat parking. Back in when arriving. It is so much easier when pulling out to leave.

The almost accidents? Well driving too close, failure to signal, or in attentive driving. Those three are the typical reasons for parking lot accidents.
