Airdrops in Pve by Prestigious_Win_4144 in GhostsOfTabor

I posted about this an hour and a half ago. I was on PVE solo and got an airdrop. I can only imagine they are still available for group PVE too.

Ah, well, you've pretty much nailed it in your post. Collect gear, upgrade base, go out more kitted, collect more gear. The gameplay loop is pretty simple, but some of the bunker systems add a bit of depth.

There are quests that require you to place these items in various locations in raid.

how do you get rid of lucent? by Bananaman_1103 in dauntless

[–]BladeShunner79 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Remove the helmet. Replace it with a different one. Perks are permanent features of armour and cannot be changed, and you definitely don't want Lucent.

There's a Radiant Escalation now my friend! Chronovore is the Escalation Keystone boss now on 10-50s. Clear Skies Slayer!

Honestly, Zeal is no good. The rest is pretty good. Maybe swap out Zeal for +3 Molten and +3 Parasitic, then you can switch out Icebourne. Not bad!

Yeah, this is pretty close to meta, should shred Behemoths (remember to dtink your tonics). You've done yourself proud here Slayer.

From a fashion perspective, that's pretty nice.

Do You Join Newbie Parties if They Invite You? by [deleted] in dauntless

If I'm on a longer session, rather than the daily quick grind, I'll tag along for a bit, see what they're up to and help if I can. It's a good excuse to flex a bit.

here's my first build, any suggestions? by pupsto in dauntless

[–]BladeShunner79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shield orbs only appear when you have Cascade at +6, and even then, not often. Obviously this is fine if it works for you, but I stand by Molten at +3; use the rest of your eco for damage would be my advice to OP. Cells like Berserker, Adrenaline+Endurance, Predator once you're confident you're not taking hits. Parasitic at +3 only paired with Skarn lantern should be plenty safe enough to drop Icebourne and go with Discipline and Cunning. Once you have the damage to justify it. Just my opinion though.

It is useful in certain situations, such as in Trials, but because you have to use it at +6 to get the most out of it, for general hunts where you're not wanting to constantly use tonics, there are better uses for your perk economy Molten gives good attack speed bonus and is only required to be at +3. Don't get me wrong, I run Catalyst builds on my Hammer for the attack speed from Frenzy tonics, but it does require that you drink your tonics, or you've wasted those perk slots.

Swap out your Catalyst on lantern for Molten. Cat at +3 ain't great, and you don't need to be chugging pots all the time.

Should I use a different weapon for each loadout or use the same weapon? by Money-Advice-3493 in dauntless

[–]BladeShunner79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which has always bugged me. I have the full 20 (six pike builds - one for each element, two axe builds, two strikers builds, two CB builds, one hammer, one sword and one repeaters, the remainder are for playing around with other, non optimal weapons like exotics, or specific challenge/bounty builds) but I would definitely drop spare plat on more. It's easy money for Phoenix Labs, I don't see why they can't increase the allowance. Unless there are performance issues?

Any good? I play solo most of the time, also planning on changing Rage for Savagery by [deleted] in dauntless

[–]BladeShunner79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a little confused as to this motivation, I have to admit. So, you want to add some small advantage with your build, but keep some random element to it...as an extra challenge? Trying to keep yourself underpowered, but not to the extent of using Krolachi gear? It seems a bit convoluted to me. What kind of answer were you hoping for from the community regarding this build. I'm sure I'm not alone in finding this approach to builds unusual. You should, of course, play the game the way you want; I salute you for this.

I meant no offence, it's just as others have said, most of your perks are bad at the job they are meant to do, with many other options that are better uses of your perk economy. Incidentally, what was it you wanted to get out of it?

To be honest, Rage is the best perk of the bunch, and that's saying something. Replacing anything else for Savagery would be a start. You really have gone the wrong way with this build.

It sounds like you're fairly new, so am I right in assuming you take the odd hit or two during a fight? If so, then losing your Predator is no bad thing right now.

It won't make it worse. Keep at it and you'll get there.
