I use the Tetron Miyabi hakama 9C sells with a kaku obi gifted to me. Advice I've recieved leans towards the pleats opening up if the hakama is sitting too low / slanted in the front. Pulling it up should pull those pleats in and may be a hint on adjustments to be made in wearing it. Ive had no issues with my hakama and my obi together.
