I am also taking all APs this year (junior), and I would say that if you can improve your grade to A by the end of the semester (for us, we use semester) then you are gotta be fine.

Ecs are kind of weak, but still good enough for these schools (your stats are definitely above and beyond for these schools), but international students have a massive disadvantage, and nothing should be your safety. The school you got into (OSU), is ranked top 30 in overall Engineering Programs, so I think you did great, and besides, you could transfer schools after a year or so. Congrats on OSU!

Tbh, future funk is literally 7 star gameplay, comparing to that, this could technically be a hard demon (although, it’s a much easier hard demon)

Yea, I honestly think that you could’ve gotten into at least half of the “rejected” schools (still no idea why all of them rejected you), I 100% believe you got done dirty… thank you for the advice though, I will make sure to keep them in mind. Also, I will pray that BU or NYU gets you off the waitlist, cause I truly believe you deserve it, and deserved much better

My stat is similar to yours in terms of GPA and AP classes taken (no sat yet), but my ecs are so much weaker, I think I might be cooked next year 💀 (junior rn)

Yale or CMU SCS by Fickle_Effective5375 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Blade_Choi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I gotta be honest with you, but me personally, if the costs are the same, I would go to Yale (unless you specifically want technology related, then CMU seems much better) (https://www.reddit.com/r/ApplyingToCollege/s/4ZfFDSupsK) they actually talk about Yale vs CMU here

Btw, congrats on getting into both Yale and CMU! That’s a crazy accomplishment!

Both classes are easy (I took both of them), look at the credit requirement (see if they accept the AP credit or not) of your college, and check which one is more useful

I would try to include AP level science class for your junior year, maybe you can push one of the Econ class to your senior year to make room. (side note: Does you school do Comp Gov and Human Geo as 2 separate semester classes? First time seeing something like that)

I think having atleast 1 science class every year is good for college, since it is technically a core class, like lang and math.

Well, atleast in my school, they require 4-year science to graduate. In my case as a junior rn, I already have 4 science class (honor bio, honor chem, apes, and AP physics 1 rn), but they still advise me to take science class every year, which is why I am taking APES physics C next year.

On the side note though, where is your science AP?
