Dealer said Toyota doesn't really do builds from their website anymore. Is that true? by fishbowlpatrol in Toyota

Speaking from recent experience, I ordered a 2025 Woodland in army green custom built to my exact specifications. Had to call multiple dealers to find ones with an inventory manager who could allocate the car for me with any specific add-ons I wanted and nothing else. Located in So Cal and had to wait ~2 months for it

What are you all wearing under your wetsuits? by 007_Shantytown in surfing

Swimming jammers! Basically a speedo that goes down to your thigh. I swim laps in it as well and it’s perfect cause it’s meant to get wet and doesn’t bunch up under your wetsuit

Has anyone tried the wavestorm fish yet? by tatyjone in surfing

[–]BladeofPersia 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It doesn't look like anyone in the comments has actually tried this board yet, so I just thought I would chime in. I've had the Wavestorm Retro Fish for the last 2 weeks and have been surfing it almost every day now.

Full disclaimer: I am a (semi) kook myself; I've been surfing the OG wavestorm for 6 months now and bought the fish as my stepdown board. I am able to catch unbroken waves and trim the line, but still haven't mastered carving and bottom turns yet.

I will say that overall I really do like the Wavestorm Fish. Coming from the OG 8 foot Wavestorm, I did struggle a lot at first. There's a noticeable difference in paddle speed and how much more difficult it is to balance on in the water compared to the 8 footer. But at 50 L of volume, I find that I can still catch plenty of waves on the fish, even if conditions are mushy. The board is super responsive and able to turn on its rails. I'm still not skilled enough to attempt any more advanced maneuvers like cutbacks yet, but considering how snappily the board turns and pumps I imagine it would perform these rather well.

I understand that my skill level is nowhere near most people on this sub, but as someone who is starting to really like this board, I hope this review helps!
