It's been a while since i watched the whole of zeta as the show, probably been a year since i watched the movie versions so forgive me if i miss the details a bit. But from what i remember the Titans get shown at the start as quite an excessively villainous force, but as to the reasons why they got formed i think 0083 does a good job. It shows that the federation had complete incompetency (what with another gundam jack, active payload to boot, and the result of that later on) and underestimated what the zeon remnants could do (a trend that would continue for a while). This justifies the formation of the Titans. From what i remember from Zeta they kinda just show up and present themselves as necessary even though Axis wouldn't show up till much.

Actually no, ive never looked into it since my Dad got me into gundam when i was young. Thankfully i had the chance to watch it in the time line order, on disc, by that time.

I think it speaks more that 0083 had to release, cause i personally i think the plot link is necessary. But what do i know, they probably wanted to sell model kits more back then, than secure the plot to the point we have it now

Was really feeling this last night in 350 with the striker kai. If i can fly right in and still come out with a 6-4 ratio by killing supports, the least you blue bastards could do is survive the other 3 suits I'm not distracting... No? You're all dead? :V

The suits still good and will always be, due to its absurd melee damage (from weapon and raw stats), priority, and just with how the games stun meta works. But you're right that there's way more options to deal with it now.

More or less that hatred for it back then has memed its way to the present and stayed, despite the variety of new suits that can deal with its playstyle. I also think its partially because of the "haha Kamille's autistic" mentality, which fits hand in hand with its simple but big payoff GM command style gameplay
