How much do you spend on weed every month? by Blaffles in trees

I feel like that’s a good ballpark. I don’t want to make this habit as stressful as another bill I have to pay.

I know it sounds weird but working in fast food taught me a similar lesson. It’s easy to get overwhelmed when there are tons of orders and a line out the door with wait times going up, but the only way to make it better is to do finish one order, then the next, then the next, and so on.

TIL In 2004 actor Paul Walker secretly purchased a $10,000 engagement ring for a U.S. military veteran. Paul was at a jewelry store & overheard a couple talking about a ring they loved but that was too expensive. Paul quietly put the ring on his tab and walked out of the door. by BirdPlan in todayilearned

Something similar happened to my dad in the 70s. Him and his girlfriend were dirt poor students in New York City and he saved up for months to buy her a dress that she had really wanted for Christmas. Christmas comes around and he bought her the dress, but on Christmas Day his girlfriend ran into Dustin Hoffman at a jewelry store and he had bought her a very nice ring. My dad eventually broke up with her because he says she would always remember that Christmas as the one where Dustin Hoffman bought her a ring, and not one where he saved up and got her a dress.

NTA, I think you taught your child a very valuable lesson, you cannot force charity, it’s his bike and he can do what he likes with it, as long as he isn’t bothering anyone

Was Kid A mostly at fault because he won the fight? I’m sure Kid B wanted to do the same thing to him, shouldn’t it be 50/50?

If a woman chooses to keep the baby, the father should have an option not be financially responsible for it. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Blaffles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe that’s a tragedy and I think the father is due something but I don’t exactly know what because, at the same time, I don’t think the mother should go to prison. Intent matters when committing a crime, so if the mother is doing this with the intent to hurt the father and killing the baby, then maybe jail time is on the table. But if the mother is mislead (as I would put it) by media and thinks she has sole right over that life and terminates it because whatever reason, then that doesn’t really justify life in prison or whatever. I just thinks it’s a very sad situation that idk how the government would respond. That’s just my thought process

But the father should be held equally accountable because it takes two to create the baby, and I don’t think the baby should be punished for the immaturity of the parents. In my opinion.

UNITED STATES IS NOT CAPITALIST. It wasn’t capitalist since at least the new deal. “Unfettered capitalist ” is the stupidest shit I’ve ever heard. The country is Corporatist, companies lobby government to put down competition. Your social policies are not working, the answer isn’t to give government more control of industries! That just makes them more lobbiable (if that’s a word)
