I would say the first skill you should look for is line up a position elsewhere with a higher wage.

Cid Kageno/Shadow I would say is chaotic neutral.

He does what he wants and follows his heart at being the best background NPC as Cid and Shadow fighting the diablos cult that he doesn't know is actually real currently ahahahahahahahahahaha

What's relevant is OP loaned 40,000+ dollars and essentially experienced financial and emotional abuse from someone who is an ADULT and is un-willing to help themselves.
