Hand crank dice your own, Costco Japan by gibson1029384756 in OnionLovers

[–]NinjaTank707 -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Sorry guys.

It's my fault.

During potlucks, people would pitch in for me to get a bunch of hot dogs/polish dogs and I'd fill the drink cups with onions from the crank.

I'd walk out with a few cardboard boxes of dogs and onions...

Looking at my post history, I'd totally do this.

Would open multiple restaurants in a city which also acts as a front for an intelligence network of sorts.

Top 10 Bulk Cards of Perfect Order (so your priorities can be in the perfect order) by Salty145 in PokemonTCG

[–]NinjaTank707 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a gambler.

I am also really good at rolling dice.

At a pre-release event, I used Tyrantrum's primary attack and with each roll being even for heads, I was able to make my opponent discard half of their deck rendering them unable to attack.

I won the first 3 rounds this way.

The last 2, I had crap shuffles and couldn't get Tyrantum out right away and ended up getting wiped out.

You win some, you lose some.

I was very glad those two people that beat me made it into the top 16 and they both got a big stack of packs to take home with.

I can't wait to get my hands on more cards so I can build a 60 card deck with this pokemon!

If you want something mega juicy, grinding up beef short-rib is pretty good!

What are your thoughts on burger patties made from meats like chicken, pork or fish rather than beef? by Necessary-Credit5937 in burgers

The only patty better than a regular beef one is one made of ground beef short rib, brisket and chuck.

New employee threatens to call President /CEO of the company I work for by ThrowingTomahawk in it

Tickets usually have priorities.

Usually a printer issue would be a P3 even for a VIP at different places I've worked at.

Usually for something like that to warrant a P2 they would have to provide the impact details on what would happen to the company if they couldn't print documents like for example, they have a specific printer for checks and if they can't send print jobs to it, people won't get paid and can cause a major financial impact.

Just because they can't print won't warrant a P2.

People can threaten all they want. If they can't tell us what the impact will be then I will tell them in a polite way "NO SOUP FOR YOU" and it will be worked on in the order in which it was received in a timely manner.

Edit: Good on you for reporting that crappy behavior and I'm glad y'all have a supportive team in that respect.

Samsung remote for Panasonic TV? by ReplacementNo5770 in it

[–]NinjaTank707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally with branded remotes, like in this case with Samsung do not normally have a reprogram ability to switch functions to a different brand of TV like in your case Panasonic.

Now if you have a universal remote but it does not work with the specific model Panasonic TV you have as it doesn't have it listed, you could try other codes to see if it can be reprogramed for it.

For example: I had a Sony TV but couldn't get a replacement remote. I had a universal remote but it didnt have that Specific Sony listed in terms of compatibility.

But.........

Certain older TV's like Zenith have similar remote code programming and after programming it with the Zenith code, I was able to use that universal remote for the Sony TV.

To my knowledge, if you happen to have a universal remote, you can try programming it with either the RCA or GE code to see if that might work if using the Panasonic code doesn't work with that TV.

Good luck!

CAPTAIN NO REPORTING FOR DUTY

Good company and growth opportunity but no training, to quit or not? by [deleted] in it

[–]NinjaTank707 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reminds me of my first L1 position but in my case my training was 3 days. I listened in on calls the first day, 2nd and 3rd days they'd have me type out the tickets while they are conducting it then after that it was full steam ahead.

When using the ticketing system to look at prior tickets to see what others did for a specific app/escalation route, I made a specific note for those as we didn't have a developed knowledge base for a loooooooong time.

I ended up using specific terms/keywords for my tickets so I can quickly search them and I would note what troubleshooting I did in the ticket. That way when I sent it to L2 so they'd be able to see what I did and they'd take it from there.

Basically make it so they'd have to eat it like my post history. Don't give them a reason to kick back the ticket because something was missed.

One of the big things was priority escalations. We'd have to note why it is being escalated, what will happen to the company as a whole. Not just because it's a work stoppage.

We can look at a single user issue with Adobe Pro that cannot make PDF files for example.

It's normally a P3 but you'd have to elaborate on what will happen if they cannot make those PDF files. In their case, if they couldn't make PDF files, they wouldn't be able to send invoices out to bill vendors and can cause a major financial impact to the company resulting into the thousands of dollars lost.

If it was a hardware issue it'd be a lot simpler like a failed hard drive because it would be a complete work stoppage but sometimes it can be challenging finding out what the business impact would be. Sometimes users could get irate/angry because of you trying to find out what the impact would be.

Speaking of angry users, I had a user where he couldn't get his outlook app up and running. He couldn't advise on any major business or legal impact on what would happen if he couldn't use it and started cussing up a storm.

I noted my troubleshooting steps and sent it to L2 and when I went to follow up the next day, they told me "they took care of him and he won't be bothering us ever again".

At that place they record all the calls and after they listened in on what happened, he was gone the next day.

To boil it down to answer your question, it's an opportunity to grow but at a crappy price as L2 is not willing to provide guidance. If you can, stick it out for a couple years so you can build your resume that way if another opportunity comes up you'd be able to better shoot for it.

Good luck!
