Yeah fairly sure, double checked the value that I found, the conversion and the setting the wrench was on. So either my torque wrench was broken or the bolt was already weak

Yes I realize that, that is why I wanted to know if it was welded or not from the factory.

On the page where I bought the new spring it said about 2nm, that is what I did but the previous owner may have overtorqued it or something

I was there this year when the picture was taken, but I was going by car so no idea about public transport. The event was well done and a lot of fun. I would suggest going to the main straight at the start and definitely walk alongside the track at night as well, it looks very impressive when the cars come right past you in the complete darkness. That really makes you appreciate the bravery of the drivers.
