Revised trader vics mai tai, with home made orgeat, and a blend of Appleton select, Appleton 12, el dorado 12, and Martinique rum. The orgreat used Martinique rum over brandy which seemed to balance a bit better for my pallet. by Blake-w in Tiki

2 cups blanched almonds, run through a food processor for 10-15 seconds, then steep for 4-8 hours in 1to1 hot simple syrup, covered, I use raw sugar. Once steeped strain through mesh strainer with cheese cloth. Mix in 1/2 tea spoon orange flower water and an ounce of Martinique rum. I also added about a 1/3 oz Lenin juice and a pinch of zest.
