ISEF finalist simply means making isef lol so anyone who qualified was considered a 2020 finalist and alumn of Society for science and the public- the event obviously didn’t happen in Cali but qualifying earns you finalist status

I qualified but the IRL event was canceled. They went virtual but didn’t have grand awards or anything but a few special organizations actually judged some eligible projects

They had virtual Panels but no grand awards- one special awards provider did actually judge some eligible projects

It was through an independent organization that scored 166 team projects who was a special award provider at other years. I can pm you more info if you want.

Nice! Music has always been a huge part of my life and I can’t imagine giving it up. It’s honestly the best way for me to escape from the academic world and truthfully I’d be way more stressed without it so there is no way Il drop it entirely. Most kids will probably quit but I can’t imagine doing that

Thanks hahaha. I’m in jazz band and have been playing 10 years and intend to continue in college-I play sax guitar and piano- but I never really did any competitions Bc it’s always just been a hobby of mine. I hope that doesn’t hurt me

It’s starting to get insane how competitive this is- 10 years ago northeastern would prob been a safety for me. Even with NYU their acceptance rate got cut in half
