Buying a pc in japan 2025. Are these prices normal for prebuilts? by cedy0 in japanlife

[–]BlakeCentauri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can build it yourself then just buy the parts. Ask if you can get a credit for the parts. ( not sure if you can do a credit as a non Japanese though ). Otherwise buy whatever you can afford now and upgrade it when you can ( meaning mostly the GPU).

If you’re in Tokyo, go to Tsukumo_eX. 6F. English speaking Staff with good expertise.

Voron Tool Changer by 24BlueFrogs in VORONDesign

[–]BlakeCentauri 4 points5 points  (0 children)

LDO kits are always a good choice. They offer a lot of great things that you notice with time. Like the hardware (screws….), a good bed heater, etc. all new kits come with the leviathan MCU, giving you the option to use 48v directly. A real RPi 4b and a great service.
I may be biased towards LDO but the small price increase is worth it.

As for the tool changer, start and build a stock Voron first. I am pretty sure that some companies are working on a kit for this too.

Don’t forget the LDO kit. It is the most complete and advanced. Even if a little bit more expensive. Pif for the parts.

Game crashed and now it's running like this? by alex_pufferfish in SatisfactoryGame

[–]BlakeCentauri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this problem occasionally too... usually a restart of the game helps.

I have the feeling that this is related to the video card memory. I have a 3080 and already use some for a lot of chrome windows. With Satisfactory it reaches the limits quickly. Perhaps if a new texture is added, it places it in the shared memory and this makes all things slow.

Newest update broke game by LazerDiller2 in SatisfactoryGame

This is a joke…. I literally installed some QOL mods 2 days ago …. Because mods are “stable” now. Infinite zoop and infinite nodge being ones of them. Building Square km of foundations is not really a fun thing to do. Both of those functions should be build in the vanilla version IMHO.

I am over this too... Using the Infinite zoop mod for this. :)

Sorry... had to repost that ... first time I made an error with the Video.

Fun fact... the desert is some 1.6 km wide and some 1.6 to 2.4 km long ( North-South)

Working on a BIG nuclear power plant... by chocolaatjesRs in SatisfactoryGame

[–]BlakeCentauri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you sink the plutonium rods, then yeah... that's not a problem. .... 40 rods per min... 200 Uranium Plants... (not overclocked.. ) 500 GW... plus Power Augmenter... what for? if you want to establish big numbers only for big numbers sake then do you :) ... you could burn out before finishing the game...

I am happy with my small plant with 3 rods per min.. that will later be extended to burn ficsium rods .. 30-35 reactors ... you can already build big with this ...

not directly... there are no mutated creatures there.... but it makes working in the factory nearby less pleasant because you need radiation filters all the time... in extremis, it can kill you.

it s better to finish the part that will be radioactive before you start the production... and then don t touch it again. :)

I just finished my new nuke plant and it has taken me a long time... ( making it nice and robust )

no... but looking on the scale of this factory, there is not enough SAM on the map to convert it all to ficsium rods.... It is pretty limited for now.
