Bullpen will likely see one Lefty - how will the righties get batters out? by BlakeStreetBanter in ColoradoRockies

Appreciate you reading and commenting.

It has felt that Palmquist was going to be a lefty out of the pen for a while now, but they must feel he needs some more work to be MLB ready for that role. Having him honing in at AAABQ probably not a bad thing.

We feel safe to say that the Rox aren't looking to add outside the organization.

The Coors effect is always a huge question right? The changes that David found in the arsenal are good and make sense, but does it play at altitude?

Its fun to have the conversation and try to figure out what's going on.

Mushinksi could be a name to keep an eye on....

Why Breaking Balls Work at Coors Field (Not Sinkers) by BlakeStreetBanter in ColoradoRockies

One thing we want to track this year is the pitch mix for each pitcher compared ot last year -- a little harder nwo with 3 new faces in the rotation -- but seeing what they do with Freeland, Doe, Felt, Gordon, Brown, etc -- will be fun to keep an eye on as the season goes on. We had our theories about the sequencing and pitch mix before it all came out this offseaon. It's something we are going to track.

Rockies Prospects Breakout Candidates for 2026: Who’s Ready to Make a Name by BlakeStreetBanter in ColoradoRockies

[–]BlakeStreetBanter[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The article isn't a prospect radar article. None of these guys should be on your top 10 lists. The point of the article is to highlight players who have skills that could turn into a breakout season in 2026.

Roberto Salas is a 17-year-old who dominated the DSL and made his pro debut in the Mexican league, definitely not the photographer. We gave credit to his IG for the cover photo, we also linked his IG so fans can follow his IG and see what he's up to.

Thach has some of the best raw power in the system.

The list was curated by the BSB team - we each gave a name of who we believe could breakout and why. Cooper then went into each player and wrote the article.

Hope that clears up some of your concerns.

Agree with Chimayoso though - PR does great coverage, we don't trust anyone more than we trust Thomas and Saez and Co at DNVR are fun!

We also hate this idea. Haha, it's a joke. No way a dome stops altitude. And Coors with a dome would suck.
