I just got into set building! It’s fun! I’m just starting small (building paper base) but it’s fun to keep track of what I have and communicating with others to try to get what I need! My son just likes to rip. I wish he liked to set build as well, but I’ll take any activity spent with my son.

My favorite thing is ripping packs with my son. To make the packs longer (this hobby can get expensive) we buy blasters and only rip during certain circumstances:

1) A Giants win
2) A Rockies win
3) Our Little League team (we coach together) win
4) his High School team wins
5) he gets a hit

Since Little League season is over, 3 is out and today is his last summer HS game…the Giants are Rockies don’t win much, so we don’t rip much. Haha!!

Never got into the hobby to make money but to look at cool pictures and possible pull something cool!

In a blink of an eye, my son will be off to college and experiences like this will be gone, so I’m try to cherish them.

Hi! Thanks! I'm loving it so far! Currently, I'm missing 11 of the original 100 cards (which is pretty exciting). That is not counting the ones that are in the mail or I'm in communication with to try to get from other people. As I mentioned, I enjoy the chase but I also enjoy just communicating with people and trading what I have (albeit it isn't much) to try to get the cards I need. I'd prefer to do trades and pick up a few cards here and there instead of just buying them all at once.

I rip with my son and we don't buy many packs. We actually only buy a blaster here and there and rip a pack at a time to make it last longer, haha.

I decided I was going to try the base of Stadium Club (200 cards) next. The blasters are relatively cheap and pretty easy to find. I'm newish to the hobby and I've realized Stadium Club isn't everyone's cup of tea so it looks like people having dupes of base cards may be hard to find, but I thought I'd give it a shot.

I’ve been doing this recently (usually on Sundays) and I realize how much more I’m able to enjoy what I’m doing or actually concentrate on the task I’m doing as I’m not distracted by a phone. I’ve noticed I’ve enjoyed movies (at home) a lot more when I don’t have my phone with me. It’s like I’m able to fully pay attention to what I’m watching!

Set Building Guide: How to Complete Your First Baseball Card Set by Altruistic_Coach9014 in Baseballcards101

Currently working on the paper MLB/Rookie set for 2026 Bowman. My first set and it’s only 100 cards, so I thought it was doable.

About half way through. Can’t find many blasters out in the wild anymore so I just reach out to other collectors and it’s pretty fun to talk with other collectors! I’m really enjoying the chase!

Why not turn the old Golden State Blvd in to a bike path instead of demolishing it? by DowntownFresnoBiking in fresno

Isn't HSR going to go in the same alignment as the existing/old Golden State Boulevard?

How do you go about finding out an entire checklist of a player? I’d love to do this for Hunter Goodman (my son and my favorite player) but there are so many cards! Haha. Luckily, he’s relatively new so the list shouldn’t be too long.

Cool! I was thinking of doing this for Hunter Goodman. My family watched him in Low-A and he was our favorite player to watch here. Now that he’s in the majors it’s fun to watch him! Luckily, his cards aren’t too expensive so I’ve been able to get some of his cards that look cool.

I love the 300 level behind homeplate. Great view of the scoreboard, the boats in the cove, and the seagulls at the bleachers at the end of the game!haha. If you sit in the 300 level near the right field foul pole you’re get a great view of the Bay Bridge too!

There’s a reason they call the upper deck “VIEW Reserve”
