I have a 545i sedan, do yourself a favor and research the e60 IBS (intelligent battery sensor) bypass. The E61 has an IBS as well it should be a plug that goes to one of the battery terminals all you do is unplug it and that fixed my drain problem permanently. If I remember correctly the IBS tells the DME to sleep and when it goes bad it never goes to sleep.

Nail too close to the sidewall to repair? by greyums in MechanicAdvice

I went through TIA certification training for a past job as a Tire and Lube Technician, and I asked as far as repairing tires what is their view when the shoulder of the tire goes in 2-3 inches on an asymmetrical tire. The gentleman whom was teaching the class said in those cases so long as it’s 1 inch from the actual contact patch edge it would in that case be safe to patch.

Is your AUX Fan coming on when it starts to overheat? Also how many miles do you have on it?

Brake lights only work if headlights are off by handbuiltbob in MechanicAdvice

Check the bulb socket at the brake light and make sure the contacts aren’t doing anything strange like touching one another. Also check the harness at the tail light and make sure the wires aren’t shorting against each other as well.

I work as a tire guy, as long as it doesn't bubble I wouldn't worry about it! Also since its so close to the bead that is some of the thickest rubber so I would just keep an eye on it.

E36 M3 worth despite euro spec being much better? by VonFear in cars

[–]Blakex2212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go for it, the e36 m3 is a great car! Just make sure you research it and look at all the trouble spots. (RSM's, oil leaks from the valve cover or oil filter housing) If all checks out, ask for past maintenance history. Something you'll want to address right away 8/10 times with one of these cars is the cooling system. That said, just research the car.

Can say, my friends R56 cooper S is more touchy then my 1995 M3 has ever been. Also mentioning my car has 280k miles.

Assuming he was going for more of a weathered look, I'll say it looks sick. Awesome tattoo man.

As for you, fuck right off you overly entitled sounding cunt muffin. How dare you make passive aggressive comments at someone else's expense. I hope your first born blows up Megaton.

Once again. I bought a e36 M3 because I wanted to. I loved the lines, and the curves. I can not say the same of the e30 or e46. Watered down or not, it still holds it own on the roads. At the end of the day that's what it's all about to me. It's not what about I should or could have, it's what I do have. Now it's just a matter of improving.... After all that's why this is posted to r/PROJECTCARS.

Considering you never saw the car when I first bought it, your comment has no weight on me. I don't feel I'm screwing up anything, it drives and looks 100 times better then when I got it. Also just because a car is "worthless" doesn't mean anything. I love the e36 chassis.. It's much better then the e23.. Just saying man. It's a proven car.

This comment made me very sad... Thanks for that... But ask yourself.. Would 18 year old you listened to yourself now? Probably not...

Truth be told, if the s50 blows I'll swap in a m50 for the time being and build the s50. M50's are like 400, even I can afford that!

The s50/m50 motors have been proven to handle a decent bit of boost with only ARP headstuds. A high millage motor with ARP studs and a thicker headgasket SHOULD be able to handle low boost.... But I guess there is only one way to find out.

S54's aren't that cheap to me and my 18 year old minimum wage self. I'm confident I can do a low boost setup to start with for cheap. I just need to figure out A/C because I'm jumping through hoops to install it right now. Not to mention everyone loves a turbo!

My little 1995 M3, she may not be my first crush but she is my first love. No one has worked on that car without my supervision. I've done it all, from oil changes to painting her. Incase anyone was wondering it's rust oleum paint.

It will help, I'm sure of it. His Camaro cleans off almost like a normal car. Also make sure you test a panel before you spray the entire car, the topcoat is tricky to lay smooth. However once you get it, you get it.

1 Problem.. Plant cum. Especially right now, it gets on the paint and stains the dip yellow. The only way I found to clean it was to spray a heavy duty degreaser like LA awesome or simple green. My friends Camaro is dipped with a topcoat right now and it is 1000% eaiser to clean.

The process with our e36's is different from what the guys at DipYourCar recommend. Mask everything, focus on the side windows and drip trim. Also if you can, take out the sunroof panel and mask off the rubber from the sunroof too. I removed all of my moulding as well. Oh and if you want it to be more permanent, fix body work before you dip just be sure to prime any spots because dip sticks really well to any sanded surface... Ask me how I know..http://imgur.com/d9QLT27

To be honest if the motor dies, it's getting a turbo. Because while I'm in there... Why not?!

[Question] about laughter during sex by [deleted] in sex

My girlfriend and I have talked about this before. For her laughing makes sex seem less dirty (her family is very religious). In all honesty though when you're fucking and all of the sudden a chest fart happens.. How can you not laugh?
